It almost sounds like the guy stole the bike and the person that owned it chased. Guy wipes out, owner takes bike back and leave asshat for dead.

Get the head rebuilt as the valve stem seals are more than likely old and shot anyway, and if you're that far into the head you might as well have it rebuilt...
Hmmm... negative points abound.
-require two of everything when you want to upgrade (turbo, intercoolers, ect ect ect)
-engine isn't as overbuild as the supra engine where, meaning a rebuild is in order if you want big power
And last but not least, the repair manuals should read like...

I run FelPro valve stem seals as well. I don't think the stock ones where Viton while the FelPros are...
The plugs aren't made by Toyota, they just use em...
Many of the plugs are used on many different cars from Toyota and even other auto makers. Just gotta find out who makes em and see if you can source parts from them...
Everything on the exhaust side of my harness was so brittle it fell apart when I removed it... That's why I went with a new harness.
Idiot previous owner didn't put the front heatshield back on the manifold and it cooked the wires...
I dunno what engine stands you guys use, but there is no way you could have the flywheel/flexplate mounted to the engine...
Drop the pan and wedge a block of wood to stop the crank from turning...

It's safety equipment. Would you buy a cheap seat and seatbelt just because it was "pretty?" Or how about brakes? (nevermind, tons of people buy the drilled and slotted rotors...)
