Hey Suprastanger...
Thanx for the link!! Sent ya a PM with my number. In my haste to get around the neutral start, I rewired some of my basic connections... Need your help, to figure out which wires/pins on the ECU, to hook up the basic power wires again.
From the C1 plug by the...
Gonna figure the ABS out today... I forgot I had removed the speed sensor on my spare tranny, so I have to get back under the car to figure that one out. I am using the extra 1JZ and 7M harnesses I have, to trace things out.
I'll let ya know what I find...
Well... finally figured out why it wouldn't crank. Seems the black wire needs to be connected at the starter, instead of dangling there. Dawgonit! Dunno how it got unplugged, but all set now.
Gonna get back to it and actually start it. Waiting for the camcorder to recharge.
I'll get...
Actually been searchin' and doing my homework on it... mainly for using the clutch switch to start.
I'll take alook at the ABS and reverse lights tomorrow (I am off of work this week, YAY!).
Basically, I want to still have the clutch-start feature and am trying to do it in the right way...
Made alot of progress today with alot of other stuff. Messed with some of the wiring, but still did not wire up the neutral start.
I am using the auto dash harness, auto-Aristo engine harness, and the pigtail connector to the clutch. How can I wire up the pigtail to make it so that the...
I do understand the low-budget thang. My 87T had a BHG and I needed to fix it REALLY cheap. I did remove the head with everything still attached and replaced the HG (Ajusa one actually) to buy me a few more months 'til I was able to do it right/better. Was going thru a divorce, etc...
Yep....swapping is about the same amount of work than having the head taken care of by a machine shop. I'd use the same valve stem seals from the headkit and have the shop do everything, just to be on the safe side. I wouldn't trust another head, unless they've done everything to it.
I used a couple of 'em (different cars). They work as good as stock. Much less expensive than the stock headset. I believe I actually picked up 2 sets off of Ebay for ~$35 shipped. Ain't ever seen that deal again tho...
Anyone tackle these yet? I am going to try and Fing finish things tomorrow. I just have so much left to do, that doing alot of wire tracing/guessing is probably not gonna happen.
Somebody make this easy/clear for me please... which plugs/wires from the Aristo harness for Neutral start &...
I have found that replacing the seals alone, won't fix most leak issues. You have to replace the weatherproof sealnt which is between the targa itself and the gutter/rail.
Follow the tech tip and you should be fine. If some other dufus put the sealant between the seal and the gutter/rail...
On that same page, they have these DOT-approved ones... Are they the same or does the E-code do something different (only ~$2 difference)?

This weekend's progress...
Replaced A/C cap with 7M (lots of grinding to do on the PS Pump bracket), PS pump/cooler lines connected, heater hose to VSV (using Aristo twins water pipe), couple of other odds & ends... rest pictured below.
Alternator wiring done (using a 5-wire connector from...
Forgot to mention... it's the wife car and she does not want NA-T. She wants ALL the bling associated with a singled 2JZ-GTE.
Not about horsepower or other performance. Just about the bling and wants to look like the setup I have in the MKIII (MKIV and MKIII "twins").
I also have a US...
I may tackle these this weekend. I'll provide wire color info and connectors used (at the dash and in the engine bay) etc, once I'm done.
If someone else already has the info, please post it up.
CK is the deal... I'm in for almost whatever he sells ;-)
I'd like to have HIDs in both the MKIII and MKIV.
MKIII - Want better lighting (like newer cars) and to work like stock without blinding people (high beam and low beam)... Recommendation? Write-up? Housings purchased separately...
With the engine in the car, I actually had to pull the intake mani out to change mine, so that I could pull the fuel rail back a bit (if we're talkin' bout the sensor located near the middle of the fuel rail).
If U R talking about the R154, then the 2-wire deal at the top of the tranny (passenger-side) is for reverse lights and as I remember it, the triangular 3-wire connector is for the rear spead sensor/ABS.
PM I received with info...
For reverse and ABS, you have to run the wires all the way from the body plugs to the sensors since the Aristo harness doesn't have these signals. The neutral safety switch is a function of the body harness. If you plug a 5spd harness right in without wiring up the...
Would like a nice, clean, thread about the exact things/steps needed for an NA to TT swap. Car is a 94 NA auto. I will add stuff as we go along. I have to finish my 2JZ/MKIII, before we can start this swap.
Goal: Would like to finish swap as a singled TT auto.
So far, collecting...
