    Let me see your trunks!

Wow... where you get 25" PVC pipe from and how did you cut it? I've been searching for something rigid and circular, exactly that size (to do the same as you). Thanks, E

F*ck, well there goes going to texas.

I did a last-minute push a couple of weekends ago... replacing the head, etc. Seems like the block has a crack somewhere, so the MKIII won't be makin' it. Hopefully you're all set and we'll see you there. If yours doesn't make it this time, just means it's gotta be that more bad-@$$ for...

    Make a 2JZ N/A block, into a GTE one?

Wow... lots of great info.... headed to that other webiste now. I figured that I'd swap the internals and everything else I could. I am almost sure that the TT block I have is cracked somewhere. Replace the bearings, piston ring, and any other "worn" components and I should be good-to-go...

    Make a 2JZ N/A block, into a GTE one?

Good info... Gonna be using a single turbo and do not plan on anything over 500HP... more like 400HP daily driver. What about the oil feed from the side of the TT block... I guess sems easy enough for me to drill/tap. Will definitely replace the rings and bearings while I am at it...

    Make a 2JZ N/A block, into a GTE one?

Getting ready for Houston and wanting to get things started before I leave... I am going to get an N/A block to replace my TT block. They are inexpensive and plentiful. I'll swap over all of the oil pump and other things atahed to the block and re-use my recently prepped head. If the...

Satan III... Remix (U shouldn't be using 56K these days anyway...)

Actually, it's no biggie. It's exactly what happens when you take shortcuts and try to save time/$$. Gotta do things the right way, the 1st time. At least I can now enjoy this week with the family and stress ALOT less about the meet. Matter of fact, this was on Satuday, where I planned to...

Satan III... Remix (U shouldn't be using 56K these days anyway...)

Yeah...it'll be alright, eventually. I did alot of hasty work, trying to squeeze things in, to make it to Houston next week. Had I done things a bit better and spent the time/$$ up front, it would definitely be good to go. Just gives me more time to get it ready for next year ;-)

Satan III... Remix (U shouldn't be using 56K these days anyway...)

Put everything together and started it back up yesterday. Was spitting coolant throuh the overflow bottle, as if a cumbustion chamber was pumping the water. Best guess = cracked block (somewhere). So, this baby ain't gonna make it to Houston... too much to do to source an engine and get it...

    Radiator options/measurements

Just getting done putting the head back on and getting things put back together. Gonna try to finish up tomorrow night. Will have picks/fitment to share afterwards. Sorry, just had time this weekend and did a community Easter egg hunt deal with the kids today. Almost done tho... more to come.

    2JZGTE Harness?

Even for those who've done some of their own wiring, he's definitely a very helpful resource. Well worth the extra $$ I spent, to make sure I wasn't that crazy (as far as my harness anyways).

The real trick to the targa leak fix, is to only put the adhesive between the rail and the targa itself. The rubber seals should not have adhesive between them and the rail... Get some new seals and the Toyota FIPG from Curt @ Elmhurst and we can do your targa-leak-fix at TX2K8. The material...

    just redid my interior...

I used the plastic paint and vinyl dye for all the right areas and never had an issue... even the kickpanels did good. I did load some stuff in the hatch and put a good scratch in the panels tho. Still, if you're careful and don't "purposely" dig into it with a sharp object, it should last...

Cassio (Ian) and I got our Aristo front clips from Rims&Things... He had rod-knock on his... That's 0 out of 2. Next 2J is definitely not coming from there. The headbolts on the exhaust side were loose enough to remove by hand (hand-tight, no cheater bar necessary). The head's still at...

    Radiator options/measurements

Wasn't here Friday to sign for it, but got it today. Looks pretty decent (new stuff always does). Won't get the head back from the machine shop 'til Wednesday, so hopefully installing and measuring this by the weekend.

texas 2008 whos gonna be there?

Waiting on some head, I mean getting my head back from the machine shop... ;-) Short list for the MKIII = 1. Finish putting dash, interior, aftermarket guages, & audio back in. 2. Replace the headgasket (machine head, replace valve stem seals, valve job) 3. Replace windshield, exhaust...

Satan III... Remix (U shouldn't be using 56K these days anyway...)

Sucks, but not too suprising, considering that we saw melted spots on the original coilpacks. Seems like it had been overheated before and I shoulda taken it apart, before dropping it in. Another example of being hasty and costing more time/inconvenience. I still have the other 1990. We...

Gonna take advantage and install the USDM cams I have (silver lining to every cloud, huh). How'd you clear the rust/sludge? Scrape/vacuum at the same time, so that it would not fall back in?

    head gasket

I ordered a Cometic from someone in Florida a looong time ago. I found him when I did a search for Cometic. Summit Racing is where I got my last set of ARP bolts... I am sure they have the studs too. There are probably thousands of places that sell 'em... even on Ebay.
