Another I'm finally enjoying my car thread..

Got "that" feeling again with it yesterday... Took it for a longer drive and got all kinds of positive-type head turns. Did not worry about it leaving me stranded or other issues. Awesome feeling! Hope some more of us get this soon, before Winter sets in.

Another I'm finally enjoying my car thread..

I noticed the hose from the valve cover to the intake and thought about the same for mine, but thought the catch can inbetween was necessary. Oil consumption the same, or anything else you notice from having it that way?

Another I'm finally enjoying my car thread..

Very good!! I am almost there. Would have been done last weekend, but got sick and been sick all week. I did take it out for a short drive and had some fun in it, WITHOUT WORRYING about being left stranded, messing something up, or that I left something undone. It's a great feeling and I'm...

Any other car seats bolt in a mkIII?

Any pics of what the Integra seats look like? Do you know if there are many to be found in leather?

    Vacuum hoses popping off

Yeah, I started to ziptie some, but will still replace many of em with the thicker sidewalled black vacuum lines. That way they don't flatten out (at least one of them that I see. I forgot about the industrial hose place. Good info!

    Vacuum hoses popping off

Okay, So I want to get this resolved by this weekend, so I am asking early (earlier than I usually do). Specs - single turbo JDM 2JZ, relocated oil filter, US cams, Tial/knock-off BOV, SSautochrome wastegate. Nothing out of the ordinary. Went for a few drives last weekend (even tho I was...

2JZ wiring harness - Common connectors

^^Yeah but the conectors on my Aristo harness are brittle and just Fed up. Toyota doesn't sell 'em separately from the harness.

    Cut harness, HELP PLEASE

Best thing to do is unwrap the harness and test/label each wire to connector. It should leave just a handful leftover, which would likely be the power/grounds, etc. Then, you can decide on where you're running it (to the dash), to determine length and wires needed from the 7M harness...

Aftermarket Ball joints - too much lube?

^^No sheeyat! Talk about the concept-Supra!!! It's kewl now. Just the cosmetics to take care of. Hindsight, I shoulda just fixed the 2JZ-VVTi. Would've been on the road a loooong time ago.... AND I loved that engine!! Looked great and NO ONE has it in an MKIII (AFAIK). Steering feels...

Aftermarket Ball joints - too much lube?

Feels solid... Good sporty feel from the new struts/springs/and bushings. I guess this was what it should have felt like new!?!? I do still need to replace the sway bar bushings (I know, shame on me), but it definitely feels like it can handle already. I have not taken it over 60 mph yet...

Aftermarket Ball joints - too much lube?

So, took it for a short drive tonight and the Supie's running great!! :naughty: I've reinstalled the suspension components with the poly bushings. I replaced he lower ball joints in the front, with aftermarket ones which have zerk fittings for lube, and lubed away. Noticed today after a few...

Pic request: R154 (top where the reverse wires are held)

...When I dropped the engine back in, I made sure that all of the wiring was routed properly and fastened. So, I am sure that the metal clip is holding it. I am hoping to see what the direction/orientation is, so that I can try to squeeze a screwdriver far enough to pry it up, releasing the wire.

Pic request: R154 (top where the reverse wires are held)

Yeah... I'm a dufus. Was able to disconnect the reverse lights when removing my harness to fix other problems. Now, go to install and realized that I fastened the reverse light wires/connectors, over the top of the tranny. Now I'm reinstalling the harness and I can't get my big-@$$ forearms...

2JZ wiring harness - Common connectors

Are you meaning the same type of electrical crimpers I would already have in the tool box? Or, are these more specialized for small connectors... meaning a visit to Frye's :naughty:

2JZ wiring harness - Common connectors

FYI... got 6 of them from this auction and received today. Fit good on the injectors, though I've not put the Aristo harnesses' connectors through. Either way, about $28 for 6 shipped. Those other sites have 'em at ~$7.50 each, before shipping (about $45 before shipping). Many thanx...

    Breaking up around 3000rpm

Starting to pull the current harness out and configure one of my spares... Found that on the front Cam sensor, there looks to be oil/fluid in there (where the 2 metal prongs are at). Dunno if it's oil or what-not, but could surely be the reason for running rich. Luckily, I have spares...

Newbie from Columbus, Ohio may have messed up my air flow meter.

Duh... didn't even think of the N/A issue. Gotta get rid of this 7M stuff I still have around... just confuses me and am getting older every day :nono:

Newbie from Columbus, Ohio may have messed up my air flow meter.

Sounds like it's jacked. Try searching for how to clean it. There are instructions about trying a "last-ditch" cleaning of a mirror type thing (been awhile, can't remember). May be here and/or on the Celica/Supra site, or even the MKIIITech site. Dunno what the AFM/MAF goes for these days...

    Aged Tires = Death ?

Saw this about a month ago, off of the DFWSupras site. I have a set that I am selling cheaper to local DFW folks, because they're older. I put them in the attic so that I could use them later, until I saw this deal. Figured someone could get some use out of 'em, before they expire...
