    b.o.v?

Two of them allows more air to escape, which helps in systems with really high flow rates, where even with a single wide open you are still getting compressor surge.

No. Unfortunately, the jury is still out on the retorque - some people swear by it, some swear at it. In this case, you pay your money and take your chances.

    H4 Headlights?

I'm with spipedong. HIDs really are the way to go, they beat all the other options like a read headed stepchild. This is the route I will be going on my car eventually, currently I run E-code Hella housings & bulbs.

Location of PPS computer in '89?

So, the '90 TSRM says that the proportional power steering computer is behind the dash, very close to the ABS computer. However, close inspection does not find a box in there that it could be... or a set of plugs that match the diagram in the TSRM. Anyone have access to an '89 manual...

Cruise Control suddently cuts off While Driving?

Testing the clutch / brake switches is usually pretty easy to do. Just wait until the thing acts up again, hopefully it won't set - then hold the pedal up with your toe as you are driving, and if it will set, that's the offending switch. They are simple to adjust. :)

    Not Starting when Hot? WTF

Check the thread in the FAQ section on how to add power - and buy everything listed there. Then add forged pistons, new rings, bearings, and thrust washers to that list. And add new valves, an entire engine seal kit, a new water pump and a new oil pump. Take the cost of all those parts, and...

    gahhh mental random problems

Unfortunately my knowledge of the dashpot ends with the fact that it messes with your throttle plate, and therefore could do odd things to your engine. :(

Official Whine About Your Unreliable 7M Thread

I dunno, but I'm STILL putting up with it. I'm so afraid that it's going to break that I hardly ever drive it... just to and from work every day, and up to the mountains to ride the mountain bike every weekend... and evening trips... and local meets. Other than that I leave it in the driveway...

Cruise Control suddently cuts off While Driving?

I'm willing to bet that you need to re-adjust the cancel switches on the brake and / or clutch pedals. Mine did exactly the same thing and turned out to be the clutch switch.

Best way to replace fitted/molded hoses?

I did the bit where I picked up hoses that were *close* and could be cut to fit for many of them. Some you just have to bite the bullet and get them from Toyota - like the PCV to throttle body reducer, for instance. Or the accordian hose. I'd say just take them all into your regular parts...
