Actually, I have one of these in my garage right now, and it definitely HAS oil squirters. :) It's a 6 bolt, too. It's my understanding that the 6 bolt Turbo 4g63 has them, and the N/T does not - as soon as you move to the junk 7 bolt engine, none of them have 'em. Oh, and on another note...

Turbo lines? The pressurized side could do that... 'course, the turbo should have died by now... Pressure line to the oil cooler might be able to do that as well.

I'll throw in a clueless bit here. I can't see any way that the clutch could be affected by RPM... even the throw out bearing should just make evil noise, not affect your pedal.

Not at all. If the wires are shorting part of the spark charge, it can easily fire a big enough spark to ignite properly at low load, but not have enough spark to ignite completely under heavier load.

The cost for the gasket itself isn't that bad - check out Horsepower Freaks, they usually have them in stock. The cost of the work for it is another story, you need to get the block and head machined to make it seal...

Rebuild! Replacement engines are still an unknown quality, a rebuilt gives you a stout platform that you know every detail on. Replacements are great for people with very little time.

At this point, I'd seriously consider plug wires. If you had oil sitting between your valve covers, and the plug boots were sitting in it, they are more than likely toast. A shorting wire will cause these symptoms easy. Is there anyone close by that you can borrow a set of wires from? Or do...

One of those is for the AC, the other is for your oil cooler, in theory.

More details here would help. How exactly does it not start? Does it not crank, crank slowly, not fire, what? When you drove for 20 minutes and the same thing happened, did it just die, or did you shut it off and it refused to start again? Did you test the relay that you pulled out?

No idea. Maybe walmart fluid is 'special'. :D
