    2JZGTE Wiring

Here's what I put together for the Aristo's body plug on the engine harness. Disregard my notes, just understand that it is 4 different SMALL connections, ported into 1 BIG connector/connection. The signals for each pin have been verified to be accurate by other members, so disregard wire colors...

2JZ throttle cable for 1JZ part number for Toyota

Dang! Just sent one off, still wrapped in the Toyota wrapper.... w/part number. Jeff Watson will know which one. Just order from him. Shipping $$ would be minimal, or offset because you don't have to pay state/local taxes on what he sends out of Texas!

Wiring the 2jz into the ma70 chassis

Man.... So sorry. Lots of work/projects goin' on... This is the 2JZ-to-1JZ ECU pinout mapping in Excel that Josh (TRD87T) created... Based on the Aristo TT ECU, I think. Someone will have to confirm that for me... I don't think he'll be upset I shared this, since I am just tryin' to help...

    Coolant temp sensor connector

The coolant temp sensor on my 2J, is a green plastice withe 2 wires... one of the wires when to the E1 or E2 ground in the harness, the other went to the ECU. I'd have to check to see which pin that other one went to in the ECU.

    Coolant temp sensor connector

If you can wait for shipping, the Toyota sponsors in the vendor section will help you out. Make sure you get the plastic piece, as well as the pigtail(s). Jeff Watson (Champion Toyota) Curt Aigner (Elmhurst Toyota)

    1JZ-GTE.com is down??

Do a search for the site... There are a few parts of it cached throughout the web. I think I may have some content from there seaved, but I'd REALLY have to look for something specific. Supras.nl has some pretty good stuff Arnout put together for the 2JZ swap, but alot of the same...

Has anybody ever used an aristo trans???

I think that there is something in the Aristo's shifter assembly that I could not tie back to the 7M shifter... That's why I was trying to use a shifter from an MKIV. Can't remember what it was now, but jugodegolf seems to have successfully used the stock MKIII one. The trans uses a...

Has anybody ever used an aristo trans???

What did ya'll do for the driveshaft? I had a custom one made, but sounds like there may have been something easier/cheaper.

Strange things found while working on Supras.

Found some wasp nests in some mirrors I am prepping for paint. Imagine some of them flying out of the mirror and into the car at 40 MPH...

    2jzgte Wiring info

The ECU looks for specific signals for the auto tranny... Speed sensors, Neutral/shifter position sensors, etc. That's why I was trying to use an MKIV auto shifter in mine. The kickdown switch is another one that you may not normally have. I had a custom driveshaft made for mine and it fit...

    2jzgte Wiring info

I was going to use the auto tranny as well, but ended up going a different route. I removed all of the excess wires/connections from my existing harness and think I have some pics/info in my old "build" thread. Many of the pics won't work, since I changed hosting a couple of months ago...

    HELP! freezing to death!

If you have bypassed the valve, I dunno what else to suggest. However, this piece has been a PITA for all MKIII owners at one time or another... What are the options for replacing with another one, which may be widely available and inexpensive?

Body work-what to use to repair bumpers?

I am also planning to fill mine, so that I can use the Devil-Horn emblem from one of the group buys. I am looking to use the same stuff, but from what I understand when you purchase the stuff, it comes in a large quantity. You will have lots leftover. You can use a plastic welder, or a...

    19x8.5 19x9.5

Wow... I have 18s, same width (35mm offset) and couldn't imagine going with a shorter sidewall, to fit the 19s... Looks good tho. I really like my fitment, but can we get some close up pics and tire sizes your're using?

    Wheel Fitment & Question Thread

^^I'm not taking ity personally.... Thing is, there are 2 schools of thought. One, where the lugs do the job and all should be good. I agree, it should work that way. Two, the lugs don't "totally" do the trick and wheel's up/down vibration hoses up the nuts/studs/balancing, etc. I've...

    Wheel Fitment & Question Thread

Be careful tho... We have not had the issue with aftermarket wheels until recently. A tire company neglected to reinstall the hubcentric rings we had... For 2 weeks, the lug nuts became loose "on their own." Popping off 4 lugs within 2 weeks. We did not think it had to do with the missing...

    Wheel Fitment & Question Thread

I have the same sizes w/35 offset and they fit perfect. Dunno if a 20 or 25 offset would stick in too far... It's only about a 10mm difference, I guess.

how to test an IGF signal?

TRD87T used a USB oscilloscope to look at the signals as well. He traced/mapped/documented everything about the ignitor wires/signals.
