Interesting... dug a bit deeper and it looks like it's the same part for both W58 and R154.

Nope, if you have a 7MGTE front clip, you WILL have to extend the harness like on a 1J. You could also buy a new harness or have someone do the modifications for you (Dr. Tweak)

OK... bad fan clutch could EASILY cause an overheat situation. The Turbo fan clutch is a lot more beefy than the N/A fan clutch, but in a pinch you can use it. Have you done a compression test yet? Might not be the headgasket... Oh, and on the radiator cap
