turn signals and license plate lights aren't in the circuit IIRC...
Bad turn signals is either the relay or the hazard switch (if the hazard switch is disconnected turn signals don't work).
Also, many times the tail lamp failure box can be repaired...

Yeah, I tossed my Haynes on a shelf and haven't touched it since I read to tighten the cam cover bolts "until tight." TSRM has torque specs for literally every fastener...
On paper, the Turbo doesn't seem to be a powerhouse. 200HP vs 232HP... But, that's not the whole story.

take the cover off and see if if the sensors inside are cracking from heat (mine where). If the wiring isn't too bad, you can just rewire that connector...
