So are you saying turn the ignition on then try to set it up with the engine off Moe? Because it was configured for and MKIV and all the setting seem to be correct. I chose Karman for the a/f readings so I'm not sure what's up still.
They blow because they are improperly torqued. You can use a mhg if you want, it won't hurt anything. You'll still have to make sure the block and head surfaces are in good shape. I'd still recommend arp's for the bolts but a stock hg will work just fine if you install it right.
One last question, I am supposed to be using the orange and pink wires for the Karman signal right? I'm just curious because I can't get the car to start with those hooked up but without them all the readings show up except Karman.

Anyways just went out and checked and the connection to the harness from inside the safc came loose from the circuit board. So now it shows up when I turn the power on :icon_bigg

Ok my friend and I tried hooking up the safc yesterday on my 87 7mgte and I can't get anything to show up on the display. We soldered everything except for the air flow readings which are on male/female connectors.
