The RPM that it affects might not be long, but the power gain is nuts, seeing around 100HP more because of the valve.

Ah, alright (after looking at the PM), it makes sense to swap the spades, but you need to be sure the HID will work with reverse polarity.

In my upgrade level, the turbo just spools and pulls me up the hill, no downshifting needed (I'm just BPU...).

You HAVE to have the cylinders honed if you're redoing the rings, or they won't break in properly.
Bearings and rings are cheap, it's the work required for them that gets expensive...
