AN fittings - non colored. Where to buy.

buy cheap take-offs from racecars on ebay, and use a wire wheel on em (this is a CarCraft tip)

Hidden hood latches for carbon hoods?

Putting holes on the outside of a very rare hood and potentially damaging his paint = FTL I agree with wanting something hidden

See, but that's the point, you're doing that with the upgraded CT's with a large wheel in a small A/R. The ported housing allows the best of both worlds in many cases it seems... Agreed, turbos are wear items, but a stock CT (or a good aftermarket turbo) will generally last damn near as long...

7M short block strength in high torque applications in question.

Yep, non-sequential twins are lag monsters... Local guy has the HKS twins on his MKIV and the lag is horrible. Going with a large, single, MODERN, ball bearing turbo would be an upgrade for him (and he's thinking about it last I knew).

Doubt it will work on the studs...

Exactly, it's why a lot of modern turbos have ported housings to stop the surge. IMHO an upgraded CT should be seen as a wear item and treated as such. 57 trim seems to have the best power to longevity balance (as there are smaller trims you can get), going to a 60 or 60-1 (or hell, there is...

    removing head with arp studs

you don't torque studs into the block, unelss you want a cracked block... If they aren't coming out, the previous owner possibly overtightened them in, might have to pull the engine to get the head off and then remove the studs with the jam nut method... Make sure you use the right size...

jdm 7mgte differences a few questions?

Depends on the year of the engine. Pre-89 has both ports and they just block one with a rubber cap (no cutting involved) depending on if it's RHD or LHD, and 89+ had different pipes for RHD or LHD (you'd have to modify this one by cutting and brazing on another pipe, FAR easier to just swap)...

    Compression too high ?

That IS high, but doesn't look like a BHG... Leakdown test and a block test (tests for combustion gasses in the coolant) is in order...

Up to you, but I'd find the cause as the stock gauge is NOT crap, it's actually very accurate.

Front brake cooling duct in place of the Fog Light

I've always thought of putting smaller projector style fog lights in with a duct behind them so I have the best of both worlds, but I'll probably end up going with the jza70 lip...

    ct26 max psi

Bzzzzt, wrong. CT shaft is actually larger than the garret shaft (hence why the hole in the wheel has to be enlarged), it's the fact that it's a huge wheel in a small housing that causes surge, surge destroys turbos...
