haha yeah i showed up there and only saw yours and my supra. and then a bunch of honda people....i guess a few more people showed up but no one took the initiative to get everyone together, introduce themselves, and their rides....i just went to the pavillions.....
there is a decent possibility that the mhg did not seal properly and is letting some exhaust gasses into your colling system and creating more pressure than normal....i would suggest a leakdown test...
just build it right the first time! check your clearances and dont buy a motor from someone unless they know exactly what they were doing then they built it...
just to make it worse!!!! i got her running and driving with the newer motor and IT has rodknock!! dammit! its faint but its there...i have really good oil pressure now (20 psi idle) but the new motor is no good.....
get a new one!!! for the love of god, i would hate for this to happen to someone else....i miss driving her, and the money i just spend on this other motor...if you get a re-man, shim it!! ~5mm no more.....
because i didnt pay for the new parts. i bought the car as a project and it came with the motor. the previous owner said the oil pump was checked and rebuilt. i took the cap off and checked the clearances of it but failed to check the relief spring as i wasn't aware it was a problem for 7m...
so some of you know, a couple months back, i put in a brand new motor. new block from toyota, new head from toyota, new cams, micropolished crank, arp everything....
well the motor blew and i thought i snapped a rod but when i opened up my oil pan, i found this:
dont know how it...
im in the process of putting in my motor but i want to shim the pump first. there are no more pics of showing how to do it and was wondering if anyone had any. thanks
