Im agreeing about the maft pro being the best product for the piggyback, yet for the money and a bit more attention in the form of proper tuning you could get a standalone with the ability to rev higher to accomidate larger turbos or antilag/2-steps. Not to mention the fact you can get much more...
Looking at the Different ems options and everyone seems to be taking to the Maft-pro. Cost wise thier both about the same. $750 for maft pro vs $900 and figure in a few hundred for some dyno, plus and optional $200 for a pnp harness for the stinger.
The stinger might be a little harder to...
Not how good of a welder I am, but how good of a welder i can beer bribe to do welding. :biglaugh:
So basically get the downpipe to fit to the turbo and then just weld on the flange? Is this a tig job o can it be had with mig?

Keep in mind this is a 2jz. But i would think even then 7m motor would have a drop off like similar to this one.
Who has a v band downpipe? I havent really com across to many, so id probably have to build one anyways. So wouldnt haveing an existing one to modify be easier than starting from scratch, even if its just ballpark close?
So as i start with Piecing together a T4 turbo kit ive decided on stages. Ill start off With standalone and then ill work from there. As i piece together the manifold and WG and softlines and all, ill be upgrading the car. Think IC and hardpipes, Fuel system.
One of the first mods is an...
I woudlnt think it would be your timing. If that were the case the car either wouldnt start or if it did it would run very rough. Usually rod knock is very pronounced and is present during all RPMs. Where as I would think detonation would only occur at near to WOT conditions. I could be wrong on...
If i were in your shoes and i just spend how ever many thousands of dollars on a motor that should be running for the next hundred thousand miles, i would be bitching up a storm. No way would i pay for another block.
Im guessing that was a .68 trim, did you notice the power drop off in the higher RPM when driving? i was looking at some dyno maps and they seem to peak quick and start dying off quick at about 5000
I'm not going to read what anyone else said, so if I am repeating someone: sorry.
problem 1 sounds like a poor power source or ground
--that what i thought. i went back in and the installer ran a direct source from the battery to the HU and a Ground to the kickpanel. Maybe its the Deck...
i've heard about that. where you can do some absolute oddball combinations of imputs from the breaks or turn signals and such and it can reset certain things or control certain features. I think i'll try disconnecting the battery for an hour or so to see if that might reset the car ecu
Would this just be a change of housings? Or would it be a matter of wheels too? Based on your response im still having a hard time judging how it would react on our cars. So im thinking it would be nice if i could commit to a turbo knowing if i didnt like how it spools i could buy a $200 housing...
I've been hearing more and more about having the old radio in the trunk and having it basically T-splicing in new radio. But sure as shit, as i type this out the old radio is sitting right next to me in the apartment. It wasnt circuit city however, its a local store and not chained. I...
Yeah I need to. Today it started to make those "Your door is open" chimes for about two miles. I think I just needed to rant. He was saying it will void the warranty cause the car has two main ecus, and the way they communicate was through the stereo, so a new radio will mess up how they...
For my daily driver im cruising the 2001 Cadillac Deville and for the Birthday i got an Alpine iDA-X100. Because when i baught the car i vowed i wouldnt do any work on it to keep myself from messing up something more expensive than i wanted to pay for, i had it installed by an installer. When it...
