that looks beaut. i love how it keeps the natural shape of the mk3 intact (squarish nose). 1k isnt bad, considering dropping 1800-1900 on a do-luck kit. cant wait to see the finished product
its more of shootin for cover, or keeping the other team down. id go through three or four cases a day, around the $200 range every time we geared up...but now ive got the supra, so id say its an even trade
imo, i love the 89+ bumper with the middle of the bumper flowing right into the hood. as for the gauges, id say theyre plug and play. i like the 89+ needles too
must be replicas made of pure coke or somethin like that...most people are to the point of paying to get rid of them...but i love mine. thats not to say i wouldnt give an arm and a leg for some of those racing hart crs, but the stock ones are alright with a coat of paint.
difference is at higher speeds the electronics will dumb down the steering, making it less responsive (= less deadly, but less fun). ill stick with the non-electronic, but thats just me
progressive steering was an option on 89+ models, took the thing to advance again today and some different guys were there (non-dickish), brought my old rack and pinion in and compared it to pics they had of their stock ones. the one that autozone gave me was the electric variable one rather...
reason i go to autozone is because the guys here at advance are dicks. i was standing in line for like 20 mins waiting to get the rack and as soon as i get up there to the counter he looks right past me and says i can help someone. that was bullshit.
sawzall, how about drilling it out...might take a while but if you had a good set of cobalt bits (one big enough at least) you could take most of the mass out of the bolt so it almost collapses when you hit it with anything else.
guys at autozone are takin care of it for me. they love my supra, but every time i come in they get a look on their faces that just screams "oh shit, what impossible part is he looking for this time?"
lucky...i envy you. ive been looking at the graphite crs to match my gray trim. that looks extremely nice. on one side of the spectrum im jealous, but on the other side it looks freaking cool on the car so i dont have to worry about matching any more. nice wheels!
damn. i got mine from autozone for 375, an atsco reman with a lifetime warranty. http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16558 as you can see its not working out too well, but the problem is close to being solved
so i get a new (reman) rack and pinion from autozone, bring it to the shop and they tell me it's not the right one. the fittings for the hydraulic hardlines are in a different place and the two tie rod ends are about an inch and a half/two inches longer than the original. just a mistake or is...
long as we're listing setups
04 speed
usual ups (soft face bolt, twistfeed) shocktech on/off and drop, cp barrel kit, crossfire 68/45, intelli-egg (intellid by me, yay) ive got a vid around here somewhere, ill post later.
