What BOV should i go with

Nope. It's still metering the air that you'd be venting. The lex/550 combo just raises fuel cut. The lex flows 25% more air and the 550's provide 25% more fuel. It works well!

What BOV should i go with

Grim's on the money. It's best to recirculate. Converting to speed density will take care of the popping and stalling though.

What BOV should i go with

Hmm...now that's a good question. I don't know if the stalling OR the popping is a problem with autos. I've only been around 5 spd's. I'll go out on a limb and guess that both issues will be there. Maybe some auto guys will chime in...

What BOV should i go with

www.driftmotion.com Also, you CAN vent to atmosphere. The draw back is occasional stalling and semi-frequent exhaust pops between shifts. A LOT of folks vent to atmosphere. Myself included... ;)

I need a quick rad to gnd verification.

Ok. I leaned the rad towards the engine and put electrical tape on the edges of the rad. Now it's at 42.3mv between the coolant to negative battery terminal. Funky fix, I know. The next time I change my coolant I'll pull the rad and address it a little better. As always...great help...

Hey you northern yankee folk! Plans have changed for us on the East Side 'YO'. So, where and at what time can I meet up with you all on I5? I'll be heading over on I-90. Or maybe I'll just stay lone duck and go over White Pass. I'd rather hook up with some folks though. Anyway, let...

I need a quick rad to gnd verification.

No body work has been done to the car. Yes, I did use a DVM. A Fluke 87. What is needed instead of a DVM? An analog meter?

Valve buckets & shims got all mixed up (Stupid red squirrel!!!!)

I measured my buckets seperately with a micrometer. Not the whole bucket, just the thickness of the top portion. Then I measured the thickness of each shim (coin looking thing). But, yeah. It's just like jdub said. It's a little bit of guess work. I'm still looking for that shim/bucket...

Valve buckets & shims got all mixed up (Stupid red squirrel!!!!)

Right. So then wouldn't all the intake shims be relatively close to the same thickness and likewise with the exhaust shims? Or better asked this way. What determines the clearances...the shims...the buckets...or a combination of the two? iirc it's just the shims.

Valve buckets & shims got all mixed up (Stupid red squirrel!!!!)

I was referring to the shims. The buckets should be REALLY close to being the same; but, aren't the exhaust and intake shims different enough to easily distinguish between the two?

Valve buckets & shims got all mixed up (Stupid red squirrel!!!!)

Well, it's both. Shims and Buckets. Which are you referring to? The shims resemble coins and the buckets, well...buckets! ;) If I remember right, you should be able to measure and easily seperate the intake and exhaust sides. (someone correct me if I'm wrong there) After that...

I need a quick rad to gnd verification.

Rad unmounted and leaning toward the engine (not touching anything) = 240mv (coolant > neg battery terminal) Rad fully mounted = 230mv (coolant > neg battery terminal)

    Unleashing The Beast... (56K Beware!)

Yeah, mine came with the car so I didn't have to install it... Got your eye on any seats in particular? I can only speak for my Sparco's. They're comfy even on long trips. My only beef with them is that they are a little tall. Mine are not mounted on the slide rails because the previous...

Hey matt! Do you still one of those stock lips laying around? If so, can you bring it to Centralia? After closer inspection, the two stockers I have are cracked! If not, no biggie... See ya Saturday! :)

Anyone from the northern I5 convoy got a time nailed down yet for the east side to meet up with y'all? I'm the lone duck leaving Tri-Cities. I'm going to meet up with two or three from Spokane/Pullman in Ellensburg.

I need a quick rad to gnd verification.

Yeah... Ok. I took more measurements. Here's my findings for anyone interested. Rad > Alternator Housing = ~1.05 meg (don't ask me why it's different from the last time ;)) Coolant > Alternator Housing = ~2.2 meg Coolant > Rad = ~1.4 meg That leaves very little current to eat at...
