My 45* 2.5" blue couplers arrived from DM today. They are far better quality than the ones that came with my CX Racing IC Pipe Kit that I bought off ebay.
Pics soon! Either tonight or tomorrow...
The CPS generates a digital pulse/frequency every time the signal rotor passes through the magnetic field of the pick-up coils. G1 and G2. This digital pulse/frequency allows the ECU to calculate/detect the engine speed and position.
If the referred air gap is greater than spec, the pulse...
There are screws on each of the two pickup coils that you loosen. Adjust the gap with the proper feeler gauge and re-tighten.
Rotate, then do the other side. Pretty easy...

And this if you're wanting to...
I've read that leaving the heater circuit intact will prevent a cel; but, I haven't confirmed that yet because I'm still waiting on my couplers to arrive so I can button up my IC pipe.
I did get the MAP Sensor installed and all vac lines ran and connected. Not much left to do!
Sorry for...
grim, what are you doing regarding your O2? Did you cut the data line(s) and just leave the heater line hooked up to keep the ecu from throwing a cel or are you looking at that annoying orange light all the time?
Oh, that's right! You're a 7MGE! Sorry. Yeah, you'll need something more than stock then.
If you're shooting for 400 whp, that should be around ~390 tq. Clutches are rated in tq so look for one that will hold that kind of power and you should be good.
Good luck with the build! :)
That depends on your power goals.
A stock clutch will hold you just fine where you're at; but, if you plan on increasing power you'll want something a little more stout. Consider getting a clutch to accommodate your 'Near Future' goals. Otherwise, get a stocker and save your money! :)...
Wow!
Fubar: Properly diagnosing a problem requires EVERY bit of information related to the problem. Without all the information, one cannot provide an informed solution!
ex: You have installed a Walbro 255; but, you haven't drilled out your J-Tube. There are threads upon threads about...
Agreed.
What would be cool is to be able to monitor each runner! I can see it now! Pod Pilars on both sides and all six holes plugged with EGT's! :biglaugh:
I know that detonation is more likely than reaching the melting point of the internals; but, what's the approximate melting point...
Mine is bung'd post turbo so I add ~150 to my temp to get an idea of cyl temp. I'm at ~1275 at WOT.
Somewhere around 1400, as stated, is a dangerous temp.
What are your AFR's? Did you drill out or bypass your J-Tube...are you running an AFPR?
Something else to remember is that any information that Aaron gives out is backed by 'First Hand' experience. They install what they sell so you get first hand feedback. He knows what cuts the mustard and what doesn't.
That's worth A LOT!
Can you believe that the numbskull that owned the car before me cut the top off of the windshield washer fluid tank to accommodate for the IC Pipe!?!?!!? Some people...
The one on the left is off my wrecked 87. There is a slight difference between the two. The 87 has the Headlight Washers...
