Specs and Year Changes for MKIII

yes, and it is in my list. :) They got an extra vent position (defrost/foot), and they were all black, looked nicer and didn't have stickers to peel off.

    Just curious.

Keep it. I still miss the old 86 Black on Black mk2 my dad had... and it's 8 years later.

Did a baseline dyno at Torque Freaks today.

More power with 4.3:1 gearing would only be the result of lower frictional losses because the drivetrain would be spinning slower. I've read up pretty extensively, but if you have an article in mind give me a link, I'd love to read it. I of course am also assuming an N/A vehicle, as in 4th...

Specs and Year Changes for MKIII

The end links changed from metal to plastic in 88, dunno if that's what you're talking about.

MK4's it's 5th, MK3's it's 4th. But it doesn't matter anyways, if it did, then the final drive would matter too. Since it's a torque multiplier as well, and 87-88 cars have 3.91:1, 89-92 have 3.73:1, MKIV's have 3.27:1, N/A's have 4.30:1... they'd all change it. But the thing is, power doesn't...

    Question about LSD swap

The ring/pinion should fit fine The differential itself should fit fine in the pumpkin As long as they're both 8" diffs, it should be all good. :)

Appology accepted! :p (Seriously I don't care, in the OT forum, edit away, it's a pointless fun filled forum, I was just kidding around -- though I have the feeling you were too :p)

Power measured in HP at 5252rpm is the same numerical value as torque measured in ft/lbs at 5252rpm. Someone just didn't notice your HP and torque scales are not equal, they do cross over at the correct spot.

    Tragidy @ 60mph...

Why not bother with the back bolts? It only takes like 30 seconds to do, and then it actually secures the car together. :p

    Passwords - very important!

I think we have everything under control, things are moving along smoothly. I'm going to start working on the new theme for the site next week. :) I don't feel overworked, but I can't say the same for Grim or Mike, they'd have to chime in. :)

    A "Moral Dilemma"

    Tragidy @ 60mph...

There are 4 bolts holding it in, even if 1 broke it wouldn't go anywhere... I had my brother leave the front ones unbolted one time and all it did was wiggle a bit when I went over a bump... Either something is really messed up with all 4 bolts, or it wasn't bolted down. You sure it was...

Heh, I was viewing the thread when you made the change, I was wondering who did it, so I looked at the moderator log. Another advantage of vB3: you can tell when any moderator did anything, so we don't have to worry about rogue mods going around deleting people's posts, etc, because it's all...
