    Saturn vs. 1J...

That says a lot about cams right there. The 1JZ produces 280PS(283bhp) at 10.5 PSI, so factoring in an optimistic 18% drivetrain loss you are looking at 232whp in stock form. So if you got 315whp with cams that is very good.

    Saturn vs. 1J...

Stock 1.9Liter DOHC is 124bhp and the SOHC is 82bhp and wither or not the engine explodes, I guarantee it will sound like it as those engines had no balancing shafts so as the engine revs it makes a horrible racket.

how much HP with this Setup????

Those are also direct injection spark ignition engines, they have the ability to control size, shape and density of the fuel cloud in the combustion chamber. Those engines can run stoichiometric mixture of up to 60:1 when in cruise mode, and still keep the engines from detonation and...

    Saturn vs. 1J...

Actually The first half is WHP, when I was quoting the HP to weight ratio. And the second half is BHP because I have no clue what the Saturn’s parasitic drivetrain losses are. I'll edit it for clarity.

    Saturn vs. 1J...

Since were bench racing your number seem a little off. The average 1JZ makes 290rwhp at 14psi of boost unless aggressively tuned. And 3500 lbs is a little light, unless he has removed weight the real number should be closer to 3700lbs. So in reality ~290rwhp in a 3700lbs car = 12.8lbs/hp so he...

    Saturn vs. 1J...

I had a 2,282 lb(factory weight) 1991 Saturn SC, So 2,100 lbs is not that far fetched. Those Saturns are light, and I swear Rubber Maid built them. Damn plastic panels. My Saturn was a good car, and I have known a few quick ones. You should be able to win against him. But please don't think just...

MKIV are cheaper to maintain then MKIII?

And That right there would be the reason why. MKIV guys have more of a tendency to support the dealerships with cash, where as MKIII guy usually send their money to the lowest bidder. So who do you think is going to get the better prices from Toyota.

Anyone know about the mercury Sable?

Had a Buick with similar symptoms, no mechanic could fix it. Grandparents gave up on it and put it into storage, and then gave it to me. Got the problem fixed. Turns out it was a 99 cent fuel strainer located on the end of the in tank fuel pump. It had gotten clogged with bad gas over time...

    You HAVE to see this.

Unless it's NO-wheel-drive, it is FWD, because a differential simply does not exist on that rear axle. No differential, no drive.
