Yes, it requires grease (I cleaned all the old grease off first) as the top plate definately isn't going to be getting oil on it... I used moly grease personally...

WG is only opening when it trying to limit flow through the turbine, as such I don't see it being an issue at all as long as it's not spiking. WG is LIMITING power, not adding....
