    Grim: Honestly, this might just be like the o-rings where it's hit or miss if they really have to be changed. As my hoses are toast (well, one was, but might as well rebuild the system), I bought new ones and they are supposedly R134 ready (comes with the green o-rings)

    I meant in reply to the pedal cruise control used on JDM cars. Yes, leave it connected as factory, as the cruise control will work with the cable attached to any throttle body/engine in your case.

    Yes, but that won't spot a small leak as you won't have a gauge. Easy to rent a gauge, suck it down, and then let it sit for a few hours and see if it's moved.
