Thanks Ron!
Here are a couple things I added here recently; but, didn't post pics till now. The first is a Power Steering Filter. It'll be hidden by the Intake Pipe.
Then the exhaust wasn't hanging right because of the angle of the new turbo. So.......spacers had to be added to hold the...
Well, I took the COP's off and put the stock coil pack on and VROOOOOOM!!!! She fired right up so something is hinky with the COP's.
A couple of problems since the startup...
#1 The Power Steering pump won't pump fluid.
#2 There is a substantial leak coming from the exhaust side cam seal...
Thanks for the kind words! Yeah, being a perfectionist has its downfalls. If you know what I mean. ;)
I didn't paint the manifold because I'd rather have a nicely rusty colored one than one that is peeling paint. ;) I should've sent it off for ceramic coating; but, got pressed for time...
Ok. Well..........I just came back in the house without a good report. She won't fire. The problem is the COP's. Tomorrow I'll swap the ugly stock coil pack in so I can drive the car until I modify the COP's to fit properly.
I suspect that the problem is that they do not sit down far...
Something like that. That would be an end result anyway.
I envision having a pic of say....a stock Tundra. Then everyone does their magic and posts it up before the deadline.
The original would be the first post and everyone's chops would be posted below the original. A poll would be setup...
Hmm...I guess I should clearify my idea.
I am referring to modifying a selected car photo. Basically, having a friendly battle of "Chopping" (aka: Photoshop'ing) skills.
I don't know how many of us graphic designers and/or photoshop goo-roos are out there; but, that could be fun!
Hi all!
I am just about to fire up my car after a rebuild. Along the way, I decided to perform Tooquik's COP mod.
I have already check the TSRM and Tooquik's writeup; but, have not found what I need.
I just need to verify that I've got the wiring correctly. Here's how I have it wired...
^My same question.
And with an N/A pump the low side would be the larger line. Correct? The smaller hose is ~3/8" and the larger is ~5/8" if I remember right. The larger one returns to the pump.
I was just at Schuck's and they indicated two sizes of filters (barbs). A 3/8" and a 1/2". No...

Ok. Things have been moving along pretty quickly. All of my new IC pipe has been welded up and some installed already. I ran out of vac line again so I decided to stop there for the evening.
Here's a shot of the new version 3k pipe. It previously had a 45* coupler to make the bend. Now...
Here's the start of the COP Mod. (I will update this post as I go so it'll all be in one post. So check back here for progress...)
In order to get the 1-6 Coil to sit correctly you have to shave a bit off in two spots. It should look like this when you're done.
I then threaded a bolt in...
