I did not replace the oil squirter bolts.
I just went out and double checked it. Here's how it is:
Block adapter 'Out' > Filter adapter 'In' > Thermostat 'Hot' > Cooler
Cooler > Thermostat 'Cold' > Block Adapter 'In'
My oil pump is not shimmed. I didn't remember that I wanted to do that until too late in my build. :(
Tomorrow I am going to pick up a Mechanical Pressure Gauge and an Oil Temp Gauge. I had planned on plumbing them in to the location that is by the engine mount. Is that location ok? If I...
I am posting my findings and hoping that other people will post their findings for comparison.

I guess I should've taken pics of this process... What I did was split the case and shoved/worked index cards in between the case and the windings. I think business cards would work better. I then covered everything else with paper towels and masking tape. Then painted it. The last thing I...
Thanks a lot Ron! It was a lot of work; but, worth it in the end. Yeah, I was almost wishing I would've left all of the blue accents out and just stayed with black and silver. Maybe next time! ;)
You're welcome! I'm glad it was a help! Thanks for sticking around and watching all of this...
Thank you sir! Those pics turned out kind of weird. It was overcast when I took them.
Vids are on the way! I almost did a camcorder one today. Maybe tomorrow...

Well, I...
Yeah, that's on my list of things to do. I'm going to at least get those white ty-wraps off of there and put some black ones on. Those white ones stick out like a sore thumb!

Yeah, it was a pain; but, I got it fixed and didn't need to use any RTV! ;)
Ok, well she backed out of the garage and made it for a short cruise. And she did this ALL under her own power! :biglaugh:
Here's a shot of her all buttoned up.
And a little bit tighter view of the...
Yep. I just came inside... :)
I found my leak. I can't believe what it was. It was the stupid cam seal on the exhaust side. There was this weird bulge right where the seal meets the front of the cam. There was no debris there so I can only assume that the seal was defective. I installed...
I spotted a red 89+ mk3 driven by what looked like a black or hispanic male. It was headed north on I5 in or near Burlington and it was around 2pm.
It was a good looking car! Was this you?!
I personally would let this one pass also. I've seen ones in better shape for less money. That's just my .02.
Plus, if you hold on a little while, my 89 will be going up for sale in a month or two.
The N/A Res doesn't have a filter screen in it like the Turbo one does. So yes, the filter is necessary. This particular filter is the magnetic type.
I'm pretty sure that the pump just needs to be bled of air. I just haven't had time to get to it yet.
