88 Turbo Old Man Project Car

That looks like more than I would be willing to just hone and reassemble. I suspect you're going to need to overbore and put in new pistons. If you are going to go that route, you might as well buy fancy forged pistons - they aren't that much more money, and they ARE that much better than stock.

I giggled more than a bit when the woman said she would be at the back of the line... which means she's still IN THE DAMN LINE! Sweetheart, if you're not quick enough on the draw to get in a debate with this guy, just be quiet, you're making your entire sex look dumb by association. There are...

    Safest Springs on Stock Shocks

I ran ST springs for years with stock shocks. Actually, I still have them in my garage somewhere!

    eFFeT's Swedish Powered Supra MKIII

Holy shit. It's rare that I'm completely astounded by someone new here. You, sir, get the prize for that one. Everyone else should take note - this is how you do R&D work. This and you have to be prepared to toss a few prototypes when they don't match up to your expectations!

    eFFeT's Swedish Powered Supra MKIII

Scandinavians build some crazy cool stuff. This is up there for sure! I remember a fellow from over there deciding his 3" exhaust wasn't big enough... so he cut it in half and welded another 2 inches of steel strip on the top and bottom along it's entire length. I'd consider hand building a...

    This Cant Be Right.......

The new Turbo ones are nice, you shouldn't have any problems reselling it.

Thanks to all and need just a little help.

Smoke is likely oil sneaking past the valve cover seals and burning on the exhaust manifold. Pretty easy to fix, if that's the case - new seals, bolts, and bolt seals, put them in at 22 inch pounds with a torque wrench, and you're done. Don't you need the charcoal canister for smog in Florida?

    Turbo oil lines

I don't think so. Tranny lines are oil resistant, sure, but I don't think they hold up well to heat, and there is a crapload of heat around the turbo.

    FFIM and EGR valve???

Unless your FFIM has the EGR port, you'll need to block it off at the head.

Agreed. Prices in western Canada are way higher than average in North America.

Will a 92 engine harness and ECU work in an 87

There are a few plugs that are different. Cold start injector plug comes to mind. There might be missing sensors on the thermostat housing for extra electric fans - I've seen cars with no electric fans, ones with one, and two. I've never found a correlation to year on that. Not sure about...

    What could this be?

No. I wouldn't buy any car blind.

    What could this be?

It's not quite that simple on a stock engine... that air filter box is a pain to deal with, and most of the hoses are likely to be so stiff you can't bend them. Probably need to pull the upper intercooler pipe as well...

    BOV Control Line?

That's from the manifold vacuum line. Where it pops up next to the injectors, there is a 90 degree bend facing the firewall, so when you apply air to the other end it fires all that gunk straight at the firewall. PS: This is why I have someone else hold a shop rag in front of things when I...

    What could this be?

Agreed, but you'll need more than a couple minutes with the car to find that out.
