    4th gear fuel cut?

The nipple on the BVSV shouldn't make that much difference. You should look elsewhere for a boost leak. You're running at stock boost levels, too? Definitely not.

Supra Waste Gate Size Turbo size

Whatever wastegate will fit on your manifold, I'd imagine. That's not exactly a huge turbo to need something extra.

    BOV what's the point

Okay, then let me rephrase. I can't think of a way that a properly functioning BOV can hurt. If you're running an AFM, then your BOV has to be recirculated to be considered properly functioning. If you're running a MAP system, then that's a sifferent matter. I will be installing an SSQV...

    Stock 7m-gte Vaccum in In/Hg

That all depends, now doesn't it? In the manifold, at idle, mine pulls about 15in Hg vacuum. During decel, 20-21uin Hg according to my autometer boost gauge. Mind you, these are pretty much normal values for about any gasoline engine. If you want to know about vacuum before the turbo...

    BOV what's the point

Even if you can, I can't think of any way that a functioning BOV can hurt, and I can easily think of ways that it can help.

    modded or bored stock injectors

The 7M-GTE uses low impedance injectors. The 7M-GE uses high impedance injectors. Low impedance is BETTER imn this case, but a low impedance system will actually work for either.

replacing the wheel studs on your mk3

Front axle: Go to the on-line TSRM, start at page FA-9 under the section (front axle hub - removal and installation.) Rear axle: Got the on-line TSRM, start at page RA-7 under the heading (removal of rear axle hub)

    Resetting ecu

Pull the EFI fuse for a couple of minutes to reset the ECU. I hate resetting the clock and stereo after disconnecting the battery. ;) Code 52... Isn't that knock sensors? The wire to the knock sensor DOES go bad. Some thin coax wire does a good job as a replacement

    modded or bored stock injectors

It'll be as reliable as the machinist who does the modding makes it. Personally, I kind of figure that RC or PTE injectors will be more reliable, and, unless the person doing the machining knows EXACTLY what they're doing, more predictable. A very tiny difference in tolerance, and you'll...

    Jdm 7mgte swap ?'s

@Red: As I said above, replace the head gasket for sure, and make sure to inspect the bearings. For the time and expense of swapping a motor in, it makes no sense to not do these things while you have a motor out of the car.

safe boost level on stock ct w/ fuel and engine mods

Yeah, he could go with more pressure, but it wouldn't make more POWER, because in the end, it wouldn't get more air into the cylinders. Probably you could get a fair amount of power from that setup. Chances are that it won't be detonation that's the limiting factor on how much boost you can...

    Jdm 7mgte swap ?'s

Yes, you have to replace the sending unit. The Canadian sending unit is the same as the USA one, which is different from the JDM one. -- That is, of course, assuming that the JDM one actually is different and the person who replaced it hadn't jumped to conclusions because the gauge looks...

    oil in exhaust manifold

#3 - 0 OUCH! Okay, at that point it's no longer rings, because you couldn't POSSIBLY have the things be that far gone and not know that there's a serious problem The piston sould be slapping around and all kinds of bad things. You'd also have massive oil loss while the car is running...

    Jdm 7mgte swap ?'s

#1. Take them off of your current motor as the easiest solution. #2. Yes, it's not the reading that's different it's the instrument itself. Canada just got different gauge faces in metric as opposed to psi. The instrument itself is the same. #3. That'll do. #4. No problem, then...

    Split Decision!!

Hoses for sure. As you said, it's 20+ years old, and rubber doesn't last forever. Replace ALL of the coolant hoses while it's down for rebuild. Might as well replace the vacuum hoses, too. For the price of a silicone hose kit, it's well worth it. The fuel pump... Well, that's up to you...

    hard tops

Like I said, I think it depends on what the dealers (And your domestic Toyota company) decided to import. I haven't seen a targa NA here, though I know it was on the option list from Toyota. I have seen an '89NA with the 3 piece spoiler though (Dealer installed 'option'), so maybe I've seen an...

    brazing aluminum ???

I got some stuff for brazing aluminium, I wanted to put together my IC piping this way. Working temp of 750 deg F, which is hot enough that I don't think the exhaust heat will ruin it. :) http://www.durafix.com -- I've only made one attempt so far. It bonded the two pieces together as...

    Split Decision!!

I said this on ASC, and I'll add it here. I drove my '89NA as a daily driver for 12 years, and over 275,000km. In that time, I put a timing belt, spark plugs and wires, a cap & rotor, and a couple of PS hoses and a clutch into the car. I also put an AC compressor in, as well as having the...

    hard tops

It will basically depend on the year, and what the local dealers saw more demand for. I see a lot more turbo targas than I see turbo hard tops. I have not yet seen (that I know of) a Targa NA My car was an NA from the factory and is, of course, a hardtop. My boss' wife had an '89 turbo...
