Fuel cut isn't boost related, it's flow related.
The BOSS turbo will flow a lot more air at 12 lbs than the stock CT26, therefore fuel cut comes on at much lower manifold pressure.
The wire colour is relatively unimportant as it would be different for different year/makes, however, Toyota is very good about making sure that if it plugs in, it's the right connector. If the connectors are the same, then the amp will work. It may be a different wattage rating than your...
The starter contacts aren't that bad, actually. It's just a chunk of copper that a solenoid plunges into. Mine was eaten away where the solenoid would have contacted it. It's a simple part, you could probably just use a bit of copper pipe, though that's not really cheap these days...
Wow. And I thought that just qualified as one of those ideas that nobody would ever try, but would work, in theory. :)
Anyway, I still think that it'd be easier, and probably cheaper to just make the fuel system able to cope with the BOSS at 12psi.
Really? I bought a (used) set of the PTEs, and I thought that they were 550s. They seem to match well with my Lexus AFM (Which I don't have the long adjuster screw for) so maybe...
Sure you can.
An air compressor, electronic valve, and a pressure sensor.
Connect pressure sensor to wastegate port, set it to trigger your electronic valve at desired threshhold.
Connect air compressor at enough pressure to open wastegate to wastegate through valve.
Not that I'd...
I have no idea how that Dragonball Z pic has anything whatsoever to do with building an audio system...
I plan on re-doing my hatch soon... Hopefully I'll be able to post pics soon.
Not good.
That's the noise that my 4.300:1 LSD started making. It just got worse and worse, until I swapped it out for a 3.909:1 LSD from an '88T. It went from a "whining" to a "groaning" to "grinding"
The easiest way to see if a diff is LSD is to turn it.
An open differential will turn easily, while the pinion drive is held still. The other axle will turn in the opposite direction.
"Open" means that there's a break in the wire. Since you're using the super monitor I assume that means that you have it. Checkt he connections at the cruise control computer. It's above the steering column to the left.
The insert should make no difference.
For reference, you should try blowing through a piece of 4mm vacuum hose, which is the final stage to the SSQV anyway.
So that means that the factory Supra driveshaft can handle about 267BHP? I don't THINK so... That's what about 215-220 WHP? How many people are over 400WHP with the factory driveshaft? More than a few, that's for certain.
If anything is a "fuse" in the drivetrain, it'll be the clutch...
I'd think that this sounds more like you'd have got hurt yourself. You know what they say about bringing a knife to a gunfight. Also if you didn't see 'em, you don't know how many or how big. Could have been a kid getting cheap thrills, or it could have been someone looking to jack your car...
Y'know, depending on the '89 that you got the parts from...
My '89 was an early model, which plugged right into the engine harness from an '87T.
There were some issues with ABS and one with the ECU idle-up trigger for the headlights, but the vast majority of the stuff just worked, and the...
I'm sure that Reg still has some, I'll bet that he got a batch made, and for the relatively high price, I'd wonder if they all sold.
Someone else was making them from aluminium for a while, and it's not that hard to DIY, if you have some access to machine tools.
Get a longer bolt and cut...
@Twister: I'll respectfully disagree with a couple of points, though the primary one being wheels. The kind of stresses that wheels have to take are similar, regardless of make or model. The only major difference is the intensity of the forces, but since energy is equal to mass times velocity...
It's a filter according to the parts list that came with my SSQV.
The instructions seem to indicate that if you have a 4mm vacuum line that can be used, the filter isn't really necessary. The filter is also a line size reducer.
