    Mental Health

What. The. Fuck??? Dude, it's a natural response to try to AVOID pain and suffering. Not going to the Doc for this kind of shit is like an open invitation for the world to drop by your house and pin your left foot to the floor with a pick axe every second Wednesday. It doesn't matter how...

any one really miss their first car?

No way do I miss my first car. It was an automatic Ford Pinto. I had to clean the fuel filter every 50 miles or it would plug up full of gunk and stall the engine.

7M hit 18psi with stock AFM and still very rich...

Ya, it's going to be something odd. You'll tear out the injectors and discover they are bigger than stock and find an HKS FCD wired in somewhere - or something like that.

Need some clarification on VF readings..

I don't recall which one was positive, to be honest. Doesn't matter with my meter, it just reads negative numbers if I get it wrong.

Need some clarification on VF readings..

This should be done on a 5v scale, it's going to be really tough to read on a 20v scale. The ECU will output 5 steps on this, and they are all rather approximate - just round to the nearest step. 0v Reducing lots of fuel from base maps 1.25v Reducing some fuel from base maps 2.5v No change...

Green Wire on CPS Harness Cut

Dude, Napa and Autozone ABSOLUTELY have one. Stop trying to find exactly the same connector. You need a 4 wire connector. ANY 4 wire connector will do. Hell, in a pinch you could hardwire it and skip the connector.

Green Wire on CPS Harness Cut

You can replace it with any 4 wire plug, just get both male and female ends.

    Might buy a MkIII

Errr... THIS IS THAT THREAD. :) Scroll up and look. Lots of little things tend to go wrong - split rubber hoses, old stiff broken seals, bits that leak, switches that stop working, etc. A slush fund is a damn fine idea.

Why dont the people at autozone, pepboys, strauss, etc HAVE NO Clue when it comes 2 cars

Typing is how we communicate on the internet. If you can't be bothered to put effort into how you communicate, why would we think you are capable of putting effort into anything else?

    ZR1 Vette

How about I quote directly from the 2007 lemon-aide car buying guide. The section after this details problems, safety recalls, secret service bulletins, etc. It's over 5 pages long, so I'm not going to retype it. However, by comparison, the Mazda Miata or Toyota Celica have a single page...

    TEIN SS vs. TEIN FLEX

I'm pretty fond of my SS. Never tried any others, though.

I dunno, looks like it could be pretty damn funny. "No, I just came from church."

    Turbo upgraded or not?

If that's upgraded, it's not by much.

just had another oh fuck moment

Ok, consider this. If they are paying you to be a wrench, then that's what they get. Unless they pay you to worry about stuff like this, don't do it. That's why management guys get more money - because they are held responsible for this kind of thing. With responsibility comes more money in...

installing EGR with head in car??

+1. It's not easy, but with some determination and some astroglide on your left arm it can be done.

just had another oh fuck moment

If the paperwork isn't current - or the accident turns out to be due to ignored maintenance, the company will get bent over by the law for it, and rightly so. Asking you to 'fix' the paperwork after the fact is slimy at best and downright illegal at worst.

    Supramania.com stickers now available

$4.50 would cover that. Sure, but I suspect that finding Canadian postage will be tough in Texas, and these are all sent from Canada.

    Cool Game to kill time.

That was a cool game. It's been posted here before, and I finished it the last time around.
