This model Supra was designed long before things like lower impact resistance regulations to increase fuel economy. In short, it's *really* tough. Run it into anything modern, and you'll come out the winner. Well, staying away from commercial trucks, buses, and the like, anyway.

Works fine in a DD. Or at least, it does in mine. You are correct, all the OEM bits bolt on... with a lot of gentle persuasion, anyway.

This is the usual bit with the stock(ish) setup. You need better intercooler pipes, a better intercooler, increase your fuel system and upgrade your turbo, then it won't drop off in higher gears.

Check the coupler just before the throttle body. It's likely old, stiff, and cracked.
