    BHG Question

Yes, you should flush the coolant system as well. Get the coolant system pressure tested, BHG tends to over pressurize the systems and pop the seals on the water pump. Seriously frustrating when you find this out after putting it back together... You don't need a puller for the cam gears...

    whos bought one?

If we were talking about a company that does in house prototyping, then moves to mass production at an automated factory or something similar, you'd be right. The thing is, there isn't enough demand to support that, in the first place, which is why every BIC downpipe is still hand cut, fitted...

    You're doing it wrong. ;)

The throttle body gasket is pretty much the same size as the throttle body.

    Need Advice

    1. Basic maintenance - new hoses, gaskets, seals, including at the least a new composite head gasket with the stock head bolts torqued to 72 foot pounds. Ideally this would be upgraded to a metal head gasket and ARP hardware holding it down. 2. Read this thread...

That might work, I'm not familiar with the NEO. Check to see what the frequency is going up to. If it's above ~1400Hz, the ECU is justified in activating fuel cut.

Have you got a test meter that can count frequency?

Ok, think about this for a minute. You've added 25% fuel - how does the SAFC do this? By scaling the AFM input to the ECU, that's how. So, the ECU thinks it's getting 25% more air than it really is... which drops your fuel cut level way below the stock level. Try zeroing the SAFC and...

    Dyno'd for the 1st Time!

It's not actually losing that much power - keep in mind, Toyota claimed 230 at the crank. That usually translates to ~190 - 195 at the wheels for an engine in flawless shape, under ideal conditions. 15-20% drivetrain loss is about average for rwd vehicles from this era. Now take into...

    BHG Question

White smoke out the back is typically a bad sign. If you're desperate, you might be able to McGuiver it together for $300. The head needs to be hardness tested, if it checks out for that, it needs to be checked for straightness and possibly fixed. If it needs anything more than a very basic...

Hmm... you mention VSV removed. Which one? Not that it should really matter for this, but I'm curious.

Any idea what size injectors it's running? Is the AFM that's on the car one from a Supra, or a Lexus? AFR adjusted to below 12... what did this entail? Adding or pulling fuel? How much? Using the stock 7M ECU? The coolant lines on the intake side shouldn't matter. There is a coolant line...

A/C won't work after replacing idler pulley

R12 is still available south of the CAN/USA border. It's actually significantly cheaper to drive down there and get your system recharged. A lot of the decision depends on what the problem is. If you've got a 15 year leak, just get it recharged and enjoy it for another 15 years. If it won't...

    Opinions on my exhaust choices?

That's really close to what I run, the only difference being that my muffler is single in and single out. It's only loud at low RPMs. It's worst at about 1750, and gets better both above and below that. The rest of the time it's fine.

High Temp Brake Fluid In Your Clutch System?

I'm the opposite. I keep several types in my garage so that when I'm bleeding I can switch types. Then it's super easy to tell when I've flushed the entire system - the fluid coming out turns a different color. I also have to regularly flush a bunch of different types, though - automobiles...

    Dyno'd for the 1st Time!

That doesn't look much lower than usual for a stock car. What are ambient temps and humidity there now? The oil is likely leaking from your cam covers, then trickling down to the manifold and burning off. Also pretty common, especially on the turbo side - high temps will fry that seal, then...

    60-1 turbo

I've run both. The upgraded CT hits boost hard and fast, but loses steam as you approach redline. This was actually more difficult to drive - for instance, left hand turns, you need to stay off the pedal, or full boost will hit halfway around the corner and the back end goes nuts. This turbo...

    whos bought one?

You need to check your facts before posting. BIC sells theirs for $385, I just checked the page here: http://www.bicperformance.com/products.htm That's hardly $600. Furthermore, the craftsmanship and materials on these is literally night and day. Even Robert at 935 who sells these knock...

Which one is better? MR2 Turbo or MKIII Supra?

Looking for support for your debate on SM is pointless, especially when you are trying to compare an apple to an orange. Furthermore, these things usually degenerate into flame wars, which make significantly more work for the staff. Even just constant monitoring of the questionable threads is...

Update: 7/12/09- White car stripped for paint
