and i see the tsrm never fails, lol... i think i'll make it a general rule of thumb to check the tsrm before i do anything from now on... it can only make life esier
hm... well, at least i figured out what the problem was too, lol... i remember seeing smoke coming from that area when i ran the car for short periods (a minute) hope i didn't fry anything else :-/
i was doin it just for good measure, i'm tired of leaks.... trust me, lol
edit:didn't see they were tapered either :-/... at least i learned something from my stupidity :-/
so, assuming it's shorted, is there any way to prevent this from happening again?
edit: and are you saying the oil pressure sending unit is a ground? (the sensor)... if so i know why it shorted
updating this thread.... i pulled the gauge cluster cover off and wiggled the oil press. gauge needle, and tried turning on the car... the needle won't move... at all, at any position...? is there any way to test for a signal using a circuit tester?
i hate my auto tranny, and it's not even in a car ;)... it came w/ a motor i bought, lol, but then again, traffics not that bad here...
edit: as far as the auto/manual decision... i prefer precise control over my car, if i want to downshift to 2nd from 5th, i don't want to have to wait 3...
one more thing... do i just plug all of the lines running to the pump... and what about the 2 vacuum lines, and i'd assume you toss the ps resiviour, altho i like the wierd cap on it "toyoda" lol
it squeals VERY loudly, and i used the right fluid... it's at the correct level, and there's no air in the lines, pluss when you look in the res. there are tiny bubbles everywhere...
