Yea? I have a new csi here and some injectors I'm getting flow tested and what not. But I was only doing those because my car has 137000 miles on it and thought it may need it. Never even thought they could be stuck open....guess I will know soon enough.
Need it anyway...I tested it and it is quite dead:3d_frown: If it does not fix it I hope someone else here will find the answer. New sensor is only like $35. But I do have a bud at toyota giving me the hook up so I don't know how much it is off the street.
Purple power is a pre-diluted degreeser. You need a pure degreeser...might be a little hard to get as those are mostly industrial grade chemicals. The acid will work but it will bleach your driveway lol. And don't let any of that stuff get on you or your car!
You may have bent the dust shield behind the rotor and now it is rubbing. Check for that first and look at the rotor and feal it (not when hot lol)for distortion or grooves like a record. If it has minor groves it may just need to be cut, but if it is bad or distorted you need to replace it...
I shelled out $1000 for my 87 na auto in so-so exterior condition, good running motor, and fair interior. The 89 turbo 5sp targa with a bhg and cracked rad cost me $2000. But its exterior was great and the interior is almost perfect! It is all about the condition of the car...you can always...
Well as far as neons go, don't get any. The underside of your car dosen't have any good spots on the sides just the front and rear. Neons get WAY too much attention from the cops. If you want to make it look good put a lip on it maybe a full kit and a good paint job. Nice wheels(no 20"...
This will probably be the only time I will say chrome mouldings don't look gay. It complements the wheels well, and has a weird european luxury vibe going. If the car was any other color it probably wouldn't work.
That is what the friend is for! Remove the bov housing if you need more clearance, and get your brave buddy with a small flathead to pop the ring out. If your snapring pliers broke they were either the wrong size or a cheapo set. Snapon is my preferance when it comes to tools.
Don't worry about it. I have learned all my automotive knowledge in the last 5 years, and mostly by trial and error. You screw up, you learn from it, and you move on to the next thing you will screw up. LOL it's a cycle! :naughty:
Lol, praying to God may help....cursing sure didn't. The curve I refered to is on the snap ring plier tips. You get the 90 degree tips and file a grove before the ends and after the 90deg curve to give the snap ring something to hold onto so it won't slip off.
Yea that Is a really big snap ring. You need a set of heavy duty snapring pliers and a friend to help you. The good snapring pliers have several heads at different angles. You will need the short 90 degree set and may have to file a grove right before the curve to help it grab the ring...
Dropping in a motor "tested" or no without rebuilding it is a crapshoot. Maybe you will get a well maintained motor with low miles...maybe you will get some ragged out pos that happens to have good compression this week only....luck of the draw.
