you need a dowel pin remover set or a stud remove set works some times aswell.
there isn't any great way, but there's a coolant drain on the exhaust side of the block by the tranny if you open that you could take a presure washer to the coolant , be very careful,
i thought of this but...
i bet he pulled the cps and incorrectly re-installed it, start there and make sure thats put back in right,
i had it in close to 180 out and it did what you described.
inspect your cps further. sounds like it may have a high resistence problem when it's hot. that will cause a bad idle byu not sparking the plug's correctly.
i heard it is only really used at start up. (so says my instructor, but i belive our's control spark to a point.
lol i didn't blow no seals out (yet) but i hooked mine up wrong recintly when i put my n/'a valve covers on and relized i had to mod some stuff. i hooked it strait to the tb and each time i boosted i had 10psi in the crank case, then engine vaccum. nedless to say she was smoking!
i noticed you have a fpr? have you adjusted it any? if running stock injectors put it to stockfuel pressure.
is your car missing at all? a miss will usualy run lean tho, more air.
a clgged air filter has no effect on efi cars. only hinders performance not afr.
an open vac source will...
"Do not use the oil pan gasket in the kit...the TRSM calls for FIPG for the oil pan seal. Permatex "The Right Stuff" is a good substitute and is easier to apply."
ive had had problems attempting to use fpig on the oil pan, if the pan is brand new and is not over torqued when put on, fpig is...
those are a stock replacment, ie make the car look good,
you may see some added stoping power, but i dont consider those an upgrade to performance.
i have stock rotors on my car, my brother has d/s cant tell the difference..
but he's do look alot better.
trace the harness back from the afm plug, and look for any damge,
you may have such corrided wire it finaly gave it's ghost, but i doubt that, you just haven't found the source of your problem.
buy a dvm and start checking continuity and resistence.. perfeibly from ecu pin (while it's...
most bore's are 83mm, and over bore ti 84/85
not 100% been awhile since i saw bore specs on the these engines.
i dont think that the hg bore being bigger will effect the seal, so long as it's sitting on the deck of the block all the way around each cylinder.
dont buy a mhg based on the size you think you need.
have them machine the block to atleast 25ra, and the smae witht he head, alot of shops call this surfacing. and if it aint flat when their done, they have a problem :evil2:
the timming belt i usualy go cheap on, and just replace it...
it shouldn't..
would probaly make some valve noise.
check your vacume it should be really close to 20inmh
check for cracks in accordian hose, and for clogged vac lines.
also that there is no debree in the idle speed control motor intake tube.
there the same thing,
make sure you have a goo vac source (test with vac gauge on the bov line) and run new vac line if needed.
im running an ssqv and it will flutter about 10% of the time at 5 inmg-5psi but most of the time it's a soft pusheshhh
i cant talk you into or out of it,
i just know my money is better spent else were till i run out of things to upgrade..
although, i dropped 6 bills on custom intercooler pipes for a fmic.. for me to switch now with out being a good welder would be insane...
dam strait nick, though you shouldn't have left them blind as to why.
engine blow by is a nasty thing. there are acid's and minerals in the blow by that will ruin the properties of good oil, which for us is rod knock..
most car's use a pcv system with a check valve of some sort, so if the...
iirc high gas has more octane which makes the gas burn at a slightly lowe bpu i belive. = less power, but with less heat higher boost/ better timming, = more power.,= more gass..
i think the only thing people notice when they put premuim in is they dont floor it as much
i used to only run...
