The skirts and rears are Toyota Japan accessories, a LOT of JZA80's over there have them. Chances are they were already on the car, which means really the only exterior stuff done was the wheels and the front lip.

You'd need to change the bellhousing, shifter extension housing, and speed sensor out for speedometer driven gear.
At the least.
You may need to swap other things as well.

They did it because it's the way Toyota does chassis codes. If there was an MA71, it would either have to have a major chassis difference (AWD vs RWD, etc), or have a different engine block (6M vs 7M).
