The 1JZ-GTE A/T bellhousing is the same as the USDM 2JZ-GE A/T bellhousing. The 2JZ-GTE A/T bellhousing has a different part number. Jeff

You'll need the o-ring between the block and upper pan, and some silicone, but you should have everything you need. Jeff

You'd need to change the bellhousing, shifter extension housing, and speed sensor out for speedometer driven gear. At the least. You may need to swap other things as well. Jeff

They did it because it's the way Toyota does chassis codes. If there was an MA71, it would either have to have a major chassis difference (AWD vs RWD, etc), or have a different engine block (6M vs 7M). It's like how MR2's with a 3A block are AW10's, and MR2's with a 4A block are AW11's. It...
