toss a narrow band out the window. you cant adjust what the ecu controls unless you take the ecu out of the loop, or max out (lean/rich) its ability to adjust fuel trims (bad).
check the vf at the diagnostic box to see what the ecu is actually reading....
and removing the o2 sensor should...
i think you miss understood what was being addressed, the sp61gt is oil cooled only, the 61gtbb is water/oil. hence no body is removing the water circuit unless the turbo has no chamber for it.
i wonder over the years how many shops and dealerships have effectively over tightened and warped the cylinder wall....
is that something that happens instantly, after the first heat cycle or over the next few hundred miles?
i love the 61gt, only on the wastegated 14 psi while i get used to the car for now. ive got a few pics of it mounted and all with and with out heat shields, make sure to put some sort of heat shield over it! better yet get it coated and then a turbo blanket! oil lines to it look very basic...
IJ to the rescue to save us from messing with that we do not know.... good info!
those holes are worth 1 degree? or is it gona be something you need to slap a degree wheel on and check to see what it is for that specific engine
jdub ill double check the belt for sure, and damn moving the...
shes squared up, did that a few times actually. i think its safe to say this jobs a wrap. thanks guys, i dont feel so lonely knowing there are others out there as anal as i am about the supra...;)
maybe this thread will benefit others in the future then so they know what the cams are...
i think ij said its not higher then "normal", thats just the nature of the beast. although im new to 6 pucks and high end performance clutches. used to ferds or audis/beamers that feel like NOTHING when engaging....
let me know how your tinkering goes.....
i would be VERY careful with cam timing, to much one way or the other and you get the famous "TINK" of piston to valve contact. if your lucky, it occurs when you rotate the motor by hand and not upon first start up ;)
i was thinking the same thing with the extra dowel holes. but id like to...
no, its an oem belt, no signs of wear on it at all (motor was said to be rebuilt 3-4000 miles ago so assuming it was replaced then). you thinking another (new) one will tighten up more? this one was very tight to get on the last cam gear, had to slide the belt nearly off the other one to get it...
