holy shit. Ok, My 89 240sx coupe with the blown motor? I'm not fixxing it, I'm gonna swap something nasty in it. Either LS-1 or maybe the Lexus 4.0V8 and a Supercharger.
Jeff
Ok, so I just got back from a drive with the wastegate tightened up in the MKII. JT61GT and 17psi isn't fun. Too f-ing scary, goes sideways in every gear. I was riding (CJ was driving), no more for me unless I'm driving. We need to strap it to the dyno and actually get to tune, a/f's way too...
It had a fuel pressure problem. the fuel pressure line IN the tank popped off, keeping us at 30psi, so still lots of bugs to work out. I'm hoping eventually I'll have dyno numbers.

On a side note, I'm planning on getting a Stock Aristo motor and going very small turbo and keep it to maybe 400-500rwhp and fast Spoolup. I want good gas mileage for my GS300/Aristo.

Jeff
Aside from EMISSIONS, the differences are some in the ecu (map based aristo) AFM based US (I think)
the cams are slightly different aristo/US. The turbos are different (ceramic (jap) vs steel).
tranny is the same. Oh, and the Aristo is front sump, not rear sump like the MKIII.
Jeff...
If you got a turbo last year then you prolly didn't get the GT wheel, as Jon has been slow.
BUT if you have a standard .57 trim CT-26 then it's a industry standard T04E .57 trim (56mm) compressor wheel.
Jeff
Yes, the exact quote from the BAR tech.
"Why on earth would we NOT allow a newer, cleaner emissions motor in an older car."
If you have a newer engine, and you stick it in an older car it WILL pass BAR tech, and then
get a SMOG BAR label, and is tested and treated as if it was the newer car...
According to The BAR Tech, a 2JZ-GTE with ALL original smog equipment would pass as well
assuming it's a 50 state legal car (California emissions).
Jeff
Take a piece of tape, place it sticky side up in places you THINK it'll hit. then lift the hood. It'll show you where the problem is. simple as that. Then you can figure out how
you anna solve it.
Jeff
I need a wiring harness to put a 1995 2JZ-GE into a 1985 Toyota Supra. I'm talking to Randy at BIC performance regarding motor mounts.
