    Radiator blew the top open

at least the 7m will eat the coolant to save the radiator, should have stuck with the BHG queen... Happened on my wives lancer except it wouldnt leak until 7-8psi.

    Overheating Issue only under boost

^ had the same issues for near 2 years before it finally failed a block test.

Stock internals? How much power have you gotten out of them?

I do not believe the NPR pistons are the same as toyota pistons. Xman did what he did on new parts from toyota, not 20 year old ones(rods too). The cost of new pistons from toyota makes this a non issue, you will spend more than what several brands of forged cost. Call driftmotion, ask...

MAFT Pro into 2JZGE-T on 7M electronics with LC1 - New issues (shocking I know)

I dont know if you did but re install the stock o2 sensor. Only way around this is to use an o2 simulator. The maft pro works great but the tccs is stronger... it has to see a narrow band o2 sensor. no way around this. You will get funky cold starts or terrible hot starts. Vf is not a...

Need help with Maft Pro Timing contol

45-50* at really light load is normal.. 17* at WOT depends on the tune and boost level. You will never see that on a stock timing map unless you are detonating and KR is in effect. Ideally you will pull enough timing where needed with the maftpro so that you timing monitor reads like the stock...

    Fabric Ex. Manifold Heat Shield

Hey guys I am embarking on the hunt for a "better" heat shield for the STOCK exhaust manifold. I found this fabric that can handle 1800F constant and 2200F intermittent. Its designed to be used directly on the exhaust manifold...

    Supra Mk3 Tuning

^ Didnt know there was that many variables. Good info. Makes you wonder how any car enthusiast can even come close to replicating what a manufacture has put into their engine management.

    Supra Mk3 Tuning

^ to be fair, i have logged fuel cut that "wanders" a bit. I have had FC at 1400hz and then successfully managed 1900hz with out fc. Kind of a moving target we all attribute to psi alone, but thats only one variable.. with the lex afm and 550's alone, nothing over 16psi on my sp61.

    Supra Mk3 Tuning

any piggy back system is a glorified FCD. Main difference is the piggy back will at least let the airflow signal keep rising and hopefully hit fuel cut before you do damage on an over boost. Always tune right on the edge of fuel cut. It will give you the least amount of timing the stock map...

    VIN freakout!

the ac sensors in the thermostat neck are open circuits until their operating temps are reached. As long as those loose wires are protected and not grounding out on something in the engine bay.. its not likely your problem. http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/TSRM/MK3/manual.aspx?S=AC&P=33

Car in storage for 2 1/2 years.

With a motor sitting this long, is there any internal engine issue to consider? Such as rings sticking or loss in valve spring seat pressure? I rarely drive mine now but do make a point to take it out every 2-3 months to keep the spider webs at bay.. Hey Mike, you might want to consider...

    military generator turbo

It is and in the state of tx, by county too. I know a few places that wont even have you get out of the car, and then some that take 30 minutes with a fine tooth comb. either way last time I read the laws, even if its a no emission county, you cant delete or alter the stock emission components.

    military generator turbo

^ re read your first post, you left the door open for the assumption of theft. I "acquired" it... if you obtained it in a legit way then say that. While they wont stick the car on a dyno, they will visually check for the cat's and other emission components.

    military generator turbo

I too would like to know when ft hood had a yard sale. Other wise its easy to assume this turbo, in good working order, "fell off" a govt owned generator. Which means in the big picture, your stealing from all of us.

Wiring Help Grey Plug ECU insulated wires

Verify the pin out on the ecu connector. If the brown wire is shielded, the shield wire should be grounded. The harness grounds I pulled out when I rebuilt my harness all had a dark blue/black spot every few inches or white with black stripes. Sensor grounds where light brown/tan. My knock...

Wiring Help Grey Plug ECU insulated wires

hold up, These look like the knock sensor and o2 sensor shielded wires. I wouldnt bother patching them since the harness is out. Run new shielded wire for these. Your splicing these together in an area that has the highest chance for disturbance. The power wires for the ignitor and injectors...

Water/Meth and High boost coming. Time for tuning help/suggestions/experience.

quantity of fuel is not the issue for us stock ecu guys, quality is. Same goes for guys like suprahero.. they are just in a different envelope all together with the standalone. For octane only when you need it, its hard to beat meth injection. I would be willing to bet that 98% of the...
