    Few simple Lexus AFM questions

Something usefull, this is why one WB gauge can be used with different fuels. The signal is the same regardless of fuel type. The scaling to the desired display is what changes

Electrical question - coolant warning switch

Water temp switch# 2 controls the fans, closed at 234*F. Water temp switch #3 must be the one to turn off the clutch relay. Closed at 212*F. Cant find switch #3 on the online TWED though. Only control of the clutch relays is via the ac amplifier that I can see. According to the tsrm, switch...

    Few simple Lexus AFM questions

I agree with your point for addressing specific setups. My car would have a standalone if the setup was a bit more extreme. I'd have to accept the trade off though of the potential issues that would bring. I just cant see how its possible to replicate what the OEM tuning can offer in terms of...

    Few simple Lexus AFM questions

you can use the maft pro just like the safc and keep the lex afm. It can use quite a variety of air flow meters including custom voltage units. There is a table to map out the flow vs voltage in the software. I think the biggest difference is that 10+ years ago when the lex afm and 550's...

    wiring

the stock wiring harness has very few unnecessary circuits to begin with. You'll need everything plug in like it should be.

    Front Subframe, Poly Bushing Question

Not the ronnie K, Going a different route. But the issue would be the same regardless if using polyurethane. Based on your pick, what keeps the subframe from sitting flat with the washer? You should be able to pull it down the rest of the way. The bushing will slide vertically on the crush...

    Front Subframe, Poly Bushing Question

you definitely could but the stock rubber bushing in the subframe would still allow some movement. The effort to place a spacer wouldnt be worth it IMHO. Youd be so close to getting the stock bushing out, you might as well do it all. Im betting that the rear subframe spacers still allow some...

    Front Subframe, Poly Bushing Question

yea 52211F are the stock ones. Found ES bushings that should work, waiting on confirmation on crush sleeve and then actual fitment. Think I figured it out. The isolator between the subframe and frame rail is a rubber padded metal cup/washer. It acts as a bump stop for when the subframe...

    Front Subframe, Poly Bushing Question

What keeps the front subframe with a polyurethane bushing from riding up and down the crush sleeve? The crush sleeve is roughly 1" longer then the bushing. While the crush sleeve is bolted to the car body, the bushing is not and is free to pivot up and down if enough force is applied. Am i...

    Poly Bushings from ES

Just finished the front end bushings and found that the following 'generic' energy suspension polyurethane bushings work for our car. Part # 7.6104G Bump Stops. (requires a small sleeve to fit over shock rod tip to hold it firmly. ID is just a tad bit to larger and wont stay at the top of...

MA70 OEM Suspension - Bushes, or Spherical Bearings?

Roughly 40 bucks each. Get them from drift motion. Aaron is a good guy. Fast shipping. Same price as Toyo. I have two new front shock bump stops I bought and won't need. If you need then shoot me a pm. Just want to recoup my costs from Toyo on them

    7m head bolt pattern?

what is the truth behind that myth? How is fluid selected for a power steering system at an OEM level? Tolerances of the rack? Why do some specify trans fluid and others a specific power steering fluid, like honda? google brings up a bunch of bob is the oil guy crap. Didnt realize so...

Want to confirm Oil Gauge proper readings..

^ think that's backwards, larger tire= slower rotation, slower speed reading and lower mileage output. You'll cover more distance in one rotation than with a smaller tire. my tires are about 10% larger diameter than stock. My speedo and odometer read roughly 10% lower than actuality.

    Sway Bar End Link Differences

my rear, 89 plastic endd links are roughly 10mm longer then the fronts. 125mm between the center of the bolts on rear, 114mm on the front. The bic links look like they are length adjustable, one size should fit all after adjusted correctly. Maybe some one who has them can chime in. Let me...

    Few simple Lexus AFM questions

^ adding or removing fuel to get the VF at 2.5v or close across the board. Not real closed loop tweaking by definition. Basically filling in bits on the maft pro fuel map to have it match what the stock ecu would expect to see from a stock afm.

    Few simple Lexus AFM questions

lex afm is physically larger ID then stock. Not sure if your wire harness is newer but rebuilding the wiring harness made a very noticeable difference in drive-ability. All of the wires running over the top of the valve covers where rock hard and heavily corroded when stripped on mine. This...

    radiator boil over

You should not have to burp this motor, one or two good heat cycles will take care of it assuming the initial fill level is high enough. If you have to keep purging air you have other problems.

ABS delete question on brake lines
