Wow... I JUUUSTTT put together that side of the motor.
He's there deal. The Fuel pressure-up VSV has 2 vac lines coming off it (L180 and L160). One of those lines tees off the big metal line that is connected to the intake manifold. The other vac line leads into the one of the metal lines...
Stock shot peeed rods have held 800whp and 8k rpms multiple times. The guy who did this drives teh car hard.. so I'm sure he felt that 800hp and 8k rpms on the highway.
Stock rods WILL handle ANYTHIGN you or anyone else on this list can throw at them. Aside from trying to compress water in...
MSL is a joke. They constanly rip people off. Guy I know took a car there for some wiring. They gave MSL 380 and some parts to put on the car. 2 months later, they came back to get the car due to excuses and no work on the car. He wouldn't refund the 380, or was able to give the parts the...
I have a BS in automotive technology, and am in school for for my ME degree. Knowing what I've learned, I would shoot for 10.5 - 11.
Sure you may give up 10-20hp, but you'll also put 100k miles on it. Case in point, I have 65k on my ts04 setup and tuning it that rich.
FWIW.. there are a handfull of production motors that have forged pistons. A generation of the viper.. and a recent generation of the mustang had them. In fact.. my 100 series land cruiser has them. You tell me that thing won't go 250k miles without a hickup.

Do something to make it fast...

Sounds like more work that its worth for a measly discount.

In the summer i run 25/75 of antifreeze and distailled water. It is essential to run 25% coolant to lubricate the cooling system in addition to its anticorrosive properties.
Lance Wolrab did testing on his mk4 with...
How is the tranny out of the car, and the PP AND the fork still in the car???? It would fall off the PP if it weren't clipped to the tranny.
I wasn't aware it was possible to pull the tranny with the fork still attached to the PP.
Umm.. you say you've got the transmission out.. yet you want to remove the pressure plate but not remove the bell housing??
if you've removed the tranny, then the pressure plate is the only thing left. In fact.. If you've removed the tranny, then you should have removed the pressure plate...
How many of you have ran an equal length header with a big turbo and have had the downpipe terminate at the middle of the tranny?
I can raise my hand on that one. :) RPS header, ts04, turbonetics racegate, with the 3" downpipe terminating directly under me.
If you have not..then you have...
