I'm not telling ya to not have a good time. I'm telling you not do burnouts and draw attention to our group. I say this due to the chance that a cop may hear you doing it and sit and watch us from a distance. When I leave and get next to a z06 with some exhaust... I'm going to pull it. Now...
Hmm..
If 87candBlueT shows up to the south side of Indy doing burnouts and stupid shit... I'll jerk him outta the car and tell him what time it is. Be cool.. don't be a jackass. Doing things like that in the parking lot was PRECISELY why that undercover cop followed you. You draw attention...
Jspec- His name is lee and lives on the north side from what i gather. He has a mk4 with a small single and stock fuel system. At least I think its stock fuel.
I know a guy in st. louis who put all the JDM stuff on a USDM car. THe entire swap. It looks like it came like that way. Dash, sensors, cluster, everything. All legal and insurable since its just a swap of parts on the USDM car.
I've had to do this twice on 2 different heads.
I take a blue shop towel that I'm sure we all have. Fold it up as much as possible and place 2 of them between the HG and the head. One at the front, and one at the back. Drop the head onto these and it should raise it up engough for you to...
You can remove the TB, but leave the coolant hoses on it. Just pull it up enough so you can get to that lower screw. Adjust your TPS, install a new TB gasket, and reinstall the TB. You'll be good to go.
I usualy like to do the TPS adjustment on the bench as its easier to work with, but...
They have a dynojet and I'm about 99% sure that it'll NOT replicate a quarter mile run. I do know that dynojet has an option for loaded testing.. but I'm SURE this shop doesn't have such a feature. They are not big tuners.. only a tuner would want loaded testing.
That's a general disclaimer. Do you think that toyota designed theirs incorrectly in putting it 3 inches behind the turbo?? The idea of an oxygen sensor is to get hot. It can use its internal heater, or the heat from the exhaust gasses to do this. I would personally rather use the heat from...
Umm widebands ARE oxygen sensors. Most are OEM sensors for road going automobiles.
Having said that.. my wideband is next to my stock sensor. I think I've had it in for 30k miles.. if not more. Also multiple tankfulls of leaded fuel. Reference the avatar. :)
I have NOOOO idea what you guys are smoking.. but a paperclip WILL get hot if you jumper it in the diagnostic block. Of course it depends upon what size of paper clip you use. I use a small one so it fits easily into the jumper cavity. it also depends on how long you leave it in there...
friggen automagics..
You're going to have to research the repair manual on this one. I would guess that's where it goes.. but I've never worked on an auto tranny supra before.
www.supras.com Click the SOGI link.. and look on the right hand side.
Do it right... or don't do it.
That's SURELY setting yourself up for disaster.
Sell the A1k, buy another walbro, and run dual intank walbros. That will work just fine and you'll have plenty of fuel for 720s.
AN doesn't have a metric equal.
You must use an adapter fitting that has 14mmx1.5 thread on one side, and a -6 on the other.
Find out what size the CSI bolt is and find the appropriate AN size.
www.amstreetrod.com has all the fittings, and they ship super quick.
