Sounds kinda like the water pump siezed up. Were all of the belts not moving? I'd say that you now have a BHG for sure ;). That's no biggy though, it's normal maintenance for our cars. Search and do all the proper work need to change out a head gasket (I'd go ahead and replace the water pump...

I'd go ahead and do an aftermarket oil cooler, well, I think you'll have to anyways. Iirc the american GE blocks aren't ready for a stock GTE oil cooler without some modifications.
If that is on there, then I'd say it had an aftermarket intercooler to go along with it ;). Sure you could push 435 to the stock intercooler, but it's way out of it's efficiency. If a new one was on there, that person would have more boost and tons more power! Or he could lower the boost to what...
Square mounts are stiffer if that's what you're looking for, but they're harder to get a hold of. The newer style ones are now made in solid aluminum pieces if that's your cup of tea ;).
The chasis had nothing to do with how the car's engine performed.:3d_frown:

Edit:: My cousin's got a targa and do have that really nice "cool factor" when driving around topless in the summer ;).
