Ahhh, ic,ic. You gots an older version of the SSQV ;).
Hell I just looked at this picture earlier, my dumb ass didn't catch the dual BOV's :3d_frown: . How's the response of the two together? Sound decent mixing the two distinct sounds?
BTW, I like your SS line setups. You even have the...
^ Lol, that's exactly what I was planning on doing! I was gonna have a SSQV before the throttle body, and the Tial before the the intercooler, or the other way around. How do you have yours set up? BTW I'm being lazy and haven't looked to see if you've got pictures... Plus it's my lunch time!
Let's see some pics of the engine and I'll be able to tell you if it's Turbo A. Mainly looking at the intake and the back of the intake manifold for a sensor that's not on most will pretty much tell you that you've got a Turbo A.
BTW, My work comp is not showing any pics on this thread thus...
That's why I like my Cooleze megamouth DP ;). I think I may have got boost creep once or twice, the stock gauge jumped up past the 8 mark and then went back down to normal, but I think it's just the gauge being a POS.
Usually you bump once a day... Was the turbo in question a CT-26? If so, it may be an upgraded turbo. Don't know about the tips, but I see that on plenty of new turbos and compressors. You should have put that baby on yours and seen how it ran ;).

I dunno about Advance never been in on, doubt they will very much for the mk3 though. Maybe oil cooler lines? Try cleaning some of the mess up that turning it on (make sure it's got plenty of oil) and see if it shoots out any more oil....
How much vacume does a 7m have in it generally? I have a stock boost gauge, so I don't know. When I do my Build up I'll be using a Tial 50mm BOV and I have run into a little issue with the springs you can get with them... Here are the springs and thier rated efficiency up to a certain vacume...
:werd: Let's hope it's just something stupid like the dip stick, and not the turbo oil lines or something...
Was the noise it was making sounding like a high pitch whine? Did it do it all the time, or was it more pronounced at coasting speeds like when you tried turning?
Use moly when torquing down the bolts to 76, it will give a more accurate torque reading ;). ARP studs are 81 ft/lbs w/moly, not sure what ARP bolts are...
Have you checked to make sure it's connected firmly to the wire harness? If so, start looking closely at the wires to see if it's toasted in some spots. Either that or for some strange reason it may be time for a new sending unit...
