do you have the injector harness hooked up? When I had an emanage Ultimate i had issues where it ran rich when I had the injector harness hooked up.

fwiw.. i regretted going single on my 1jz right from the get go..
I'd say #2.. Its a lot easier and cleaner (hydrofan, ps reservour etc).. In the end its worth it. it is cheaper to go the motorset route though
not really.. why have more out when you have less comming in.
I remember hams saying 2jz intakes were like 1.5mm larger and the 1jz exhaust were 1mm bigger. so +1 mm 2jz exahust valves worked.
how was it tested?
I had a 2jz map a long time ago on my 1jz car. I hit boost cut around 15 psi. My buddy would hit boost cut at 14 psi. So seems like they are scaled different.
if never had a rotten egg smell from my cars? only time I've smelled a rotten egg smell was from an old car that still had a cat on it (that was most likely dead)..
egr doesn't take away hp per se.. you could argue the hole drilled in the exhaust port cause excess backpressure resulting in reduced hp. but then you can also say, an extra 1/4 turn from your spark plugs raises compression and hp
