Hey everyone. So something weird happened yesterday.
Was cruising around and the car died on me. seems to lead to a bad alternator (fresh battery, held a charge great.)
But now the car won't turn. At all.
Got underneath with my 19mm socket on the crank pulley. Wont budge.
Tried to push start...
Please excuse the ignorance as I am sure it is a simple Mechanism to figure out. If I'm understanding correctly, this valve should actually be open at all times, this way the coolant goes to the heater core. The reason why I say this is because my heat would never work until I zip tied tired...
Thanks for the replies everyone!
Ok well that's good to know that's its supposed to be taught so to say.
However JJ and GrimJack, you shed some very nice light on my situation!
Now when you say 'same difference' does that mean it actually is the same, or there is slight modification to be...
Hello everybody, I noticed my car was leaking some coolant and it was starting to worry me.
I traced it down and found out it was the heater core valve actuator thing.
Believe it or not I actually found one from a junkyard, and I hope it doesn't leak ha ha. But what I want to know is that...
Ahhh very cool. Thank you for the info!
The time is nearing where I should really get some new injectors sooner than later. One step at a time I suppose.
Thanks for the input!
so gasoline huh. Good to know!
The Wurth rubber 'care' or what have you, should be here tomorrow.
I am waiting on...
So I wanted to bring up another 'issue' while its fresh in my mind. (Vaseline related)
I've noticed a lot of people saying to use Vaseline on the little rubber o-rings when installing fuel injectors.
Would that not be the case then? Considering vast majority say it degrades rubber and what...
Before you go messing with the MAF translator and all the other goodies.
Familiarise yourself with the TRSM if you haven't already: http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/TSRM/MK3/
Or you can be like me and get the actual book ;) (I like having a book in front of me instead of the internet...
Hoooooooooooly crap. That is what i'm talking about! Pretty much exactly how I want mine: black valve covers and a neutral color block with manifold. Hat off to you sir! looks friggin great.
And the little sneak shot of the quarter panel, she looks promising
Wow....If uhhh, ya know, you happen to not like it for whatever reason and want to just ya know, give the motor away. I guess I'll take it off your hands..
Hah, looking sick!!
p.s. your car was my wallpaper on my computer for the longest time!
one of my favorite supra pictures
Oh I will definitely give an update once I receive the product.
Again, I would love to just get new seals and do the whole job correctly, but that's just gonna have to wait heh
Okay, well I bit the bullet. Vaseline just seems like a no go.
I ended up going with the Wurth Rubber Care. Seems to do well, and it's silicone free as well.
We shall see.
Also, I will update this and let everyone know how it goes when I do it
Okay. So I have done some Google searching, some supramania searching, supra forum searching. All of it.
All of it also is about a 50/50 split on it being good or bad.
My car leaks when it rains, pours down the front passenger side.
Not trying to be the more than typical cheap mkiii...
