PM'd. definitely looking to pick one up regardless of how "important" it might be. Toyota wouldn't have added it if it didn't serve some purpose.
Still interested to see what others have seen regarding the brace.
Either that or they were looking at the bodies/body parts pinned under the car.
That video was just plain sad and disgusting. Judging by all the idiotic videos on youtube of the middle eastern race "events" this sort of thing must not be too uncommon. Very sad the lack of safety or lack of...
During my rebuild I either lost mine or never got one with my GTE. How much does that stay support? I wanted to buy a new one from Toyota, but Champion said it was no longer available.
I was also thinking that everyone running an aftermarket turbo would have to go without this brace since it...
Update for those reviewing this in the future:
I got it off with the pickle fork. Took a few more HARD smacks and hitting the top of the nuts helped as well. I broke the shaft on my little hammer, but i got the little shit undone. Not the cleanest way to do it, but it worked.
Buy a new one. Period.
It kills me that so many people would even contemplate buying aftermarket parts for s car that isn't even up to stock Toyota standards.
It's not a civic, its a luxury sports car. Get it up to stock standards.
I bought a brand new one for my 90. Best 150 bucks I've spent...
I really dont think they would. That's a lot of money thrown to waste. It's not as if the cooler was a major selling point or anything. It serves a purpose.
I would love to see some good recorded data with a very good oil temp gauge and record similar runs with and without the cooler. Put both...
Switched over to GC 0w30 w/ PureONE filter recently. Over 313,500 miles. Fully broken in. Really need new exhaust, right now it's rusted in half at the resonator and basically straight piped. AKA loud, obnoxious and not any faster... :nono:
Can't wait to order exhaust. Still looking at Raptor...
I did my own... then I had a stuck intake valve... ruined the head. I'll always wonder if I caused it. Id get the correct spring compressor, not the redneck fix I did with the PVC pipes.

Aaron and driftmotion are great to deal with. If you can buy through them, you should.
Rarely do we seem to hear good things about supra sport. If you want to have a business you need to provide some sort of communication. Suprasport and 935 have both been notoriously bad about that.

Had similar problem with auto. Worked ok on my 88, then it just gave out. Replaced with w58 and 3k later it was just better than ever.

I've done a few HG jobs now. (3 total) on 7M's and one every one, I had the head machined flat (cheap and easy to do) and I simply cleaned the block. I never used sand paper for fear of creating gradual valleys and an uneven surface. Of course on all of these I used the toyota OEM HG. If you are...
I'm assuming this is the same subframe crack many others have seen. :(
A new subframe with bushings might require taking out a loan...$$$ I'd try welding or finding a good condition doner subframe.
Others have dealt with subframe cracks and I'm sure they'll chime in. I'm just repeating what...
Someone meet up with the guy, put 3 grand in his face and tell that'd be for a real turbo a, then tell him is lucky to be worth 1.5...
