All a matter of cash. Wanna spend 10k? Do a proper 2jzgte swap. Wanna spend 5 and under? Rebuild the 7m/source a new one and rebuild it. My swap was roughly 4 grand for everything and I did a mild, stock rebuild/gte swap.
Just don't stretch yourself any route you go. Do only what you can afford...

Agreed that seems too much for a stock ct with ~10lbs. I'm running stock ct with 10 lbs and I very much doubt I'm anywhere near that. I'm guessing closer to 310-325 wheel tq is more appropriate.
It's normally bolted to the manifold just in front of the turbo. Held on by a few 12mm nuts I believe. Right behind/underneath the CPS.
If you're looking to get a new one, I'd try Toyota or a "want to buy" ad here.
Wow. Not too surprising though. Unless you're building it in a "clean room" it's tough to ensure the assembly process is 100% clean. I'm sure my rebuild was not much better. I was relying heavily on my filter for those first few hundred miles.
Had same problem with my swap. I didn't know the hoses were different, but I should've checked that.
I got it to fit, but it still hits the side of the pump. I'll add this to my list of parts to buy.

Oh my. Look, nothing personal against you. I dont know you or your car. I say ANYBODY who buys a 20 year old sports car and mods it first thing assuming all is well is a fool.
What compression numbers is the engine putting out?
What are all of your valve lash clearances?
What are your spark...
Here ya go. I seriously doubt your car runs perfect in stock form. I say you're a fool for owning it less than a few months and modding it. If you REALLY think you've got a perfect motor then a quality exhaust and intake ALONE will put you near your budget. Then move to boost controller...etc...
100% if you are not machining block, use graphite. Every. Single. Time.
It's more forgiving. Mls (metal) gaskets are meant for surface finishes you can't get without working the block. Metal head gaskets are meant for machines block and head, nothing less.
I waited a few hundred miles. Longer...
Those gussets have got to be at least a little helpful. Maybe not the absolute best position but still helpful and surely not "useless".
They help to hold that center section together, REGARDLESS of whether they are along the major or minor axis. If the front and back get pulled apart, the...
I did a retorque. I put about 40k miles on it. It was starting to leak coolant out the exhaust side like it did the first time. I think my block was warped.
I swapped for a gte that's treating me well. My ge served its purpose and was reliable for 3 years while I saved and researched for my...
thread resurrection totally worth it.
Cliffs of first two pages to save people some time:
-Guy writes thread complaining about gf and how she doesn't want him spending money on car
-Girl sees his account logged on and reads it
-Girl responds with the fact that he's a nearly unemployed...
Good point. But it's not about how safe it is. Speeding tickets are a way to keep money rolling in for Police Departments. Speed smart and have a working speedo.
There is a thread on here about a company that does them regularily. Pricing was pretty damn good. ~100-120 for a set, I believe. Good quality with Supra logo and everything.
Even though that asking price is very high, I bet they are completely correct about it being the only one in the world. Unless, that is, Toyota has one or two stored away that we dont know about.
How many on here have upgraded their insurance coverage to reflect their mods and get them covered?
My 90 G(T)E is about to get a few upgrades with many more in the future. (Full Raptor Racing exhaust, Aftermarket wheels, Suspension... etc.)
When I shopped around for insurance, Progressive and...
