Those are great results for no major engine upgrades. That 2.5" cat might not be hurting you too bad, but I'm sure it's not doing any favors. I would have expected peak power to be a little later in the rev range. Perhaps that's the exhaust restriction making a difference at the top end?
I'm...
I'm not exactly in your shoes, but I have some similar goals. IMO, unless you're getting into the added features that aren't available on the stock electronics OR planning on tuning yourself and tweaking as you add parts a standalone will be a little unnecessary.
I'd love a standalone to mess...
I've always sprayed my composite gaskets with good luck. :dunno:
Although I realize its not called for in the tsrm.

Uh... I don't follow. If you don't get a cel at any point, that's a problem. B+ should be 12v. Always. Its connected to the battery, or at least supposed to be.

If you're running less than 10 psi or so you should not have any creep regardless of exhaust. The DDP allows more flow and will make it more likely to outrun the turbo if you up the boost. This means increased chances of creep and fuel cut.
If you're aiming for stock pressure the DDP isnt...
You have to fix your diagnostic system before anything else. Otherwise you're just wasting time. It's very possible that whatever fix that system needs may also be stopping the car from running correctly.
Dont run around guessing. Fix the diagnostics system.
I'd seriously consider a new 400hp rwd plugin hybrid if the batteries were light and economical. Since I doubt either of those will happen soon, I'll keep the mk3.

When I was just getting into the mk3 scene and sm crowd you seemed to be pretty active. I used to cruise these forums and enjoy Kyle's insanity with his gay blue car with mesh wheels and borris. Adjuster showing his incredible mk3 mixed in with anti-liberal rants. Jdub actively posting...
The biggest point you seem to be missing is that the DDP should LESSEN boost creep. Once again, it should decrease creep. Not sure how else to say it.
A ct-26 won't do much good beyond 13-14 psi anyways. Beyond that you will definitely have creep issues and you're also just blowing hot air. Is...
Do you realize you quoted a post from more than a year ago? Furthermore, did you realize the particular post you quoted is so far up the list of recent posts we can't see where the hell it's coming from? Haha.
A: Exhaust restriction doesn't occur with the flip of a switch when you hit a certain power level. Pressure drop (IE flow restriction) is exponential and will increase more and more as flow increases, but there are still restrictions at the low end. I doubt the restrictions at my power level are...
Cometic states an RA of under 50 is generally required. RA of 12 is extremely smooth and most shop equipment wont get cast iron to that smoothness no matter how hard they try.
At my work, we deal with stainless castings all the time. To guarantee an RA better than 15 we can't use anything cast...
This is exactly why we keep entertaining your responses. We think your head may be very broken. Perhaps you should considering sitting it out...
Your self described incident going 120mph in the vicinity of anybody else, much less an area with a cross road or some sort of parking lot/ pull off...
I need to pull up this thread the next time I'm doing a project on the Supra. You get everything fucking spotless. I can't grasp how you're able to do that on every part!
I'll definitely use your CPS pictures as inspiration when I do mine. Mine looks horrible right now and has a chronic leak...
A divorced downpipe should lessen the amount of boost creep. Boost creep occurs when the wastegate flow is restricted more than the exhaust. More gas flows through the turbo instead of the wastegate and you have a rising boost pressure. This can happen with many aftermarket downpipes/exhausts...
The panels looks great. Hard to tell from the pics, but can I assume that's black leather? I can't wait to get around to the interior on my car. I think that will make a HUGE difference in the driving experience.
Regarding 91, 92 springs lowering: I don't think its just 91,92 but rather all 89+ that are lower. Toyota changed the ride height and I've always believed it was in 89. I've owned 3 with stock suspension and the 88 seemed noticeably higher than my 89 and 90. The 89+ height is still higher than...
LMAO. It's just funny now. I give up. You just can reason with dumb.
Please don't kill anyone else. That's the only reason I keep responding to your posts. It'll be a tragic day if your self proclaimed lunatic-style driving hurts an innocent person. Driving is dangerous under normal...
