check both for voltage output, and make sure the connectors and wiring to both are good.

code 51 can be the TPS, although I think that is unlikely, because the symptoms would be different. A fried knock sensor, or a disconnected one would make the car run like crap... maybe that's the problem, are all of your vacuum lines connected properly? kinda sounds like a vacuum leak...

maybe i'm wrong, but aren't there vacuum lines under the intake manifold for the fuel pressure vsv? and without those connected, there wouldn't be any fuel pressure=no start??? Yes, pics are definitely needed... toyotaxtremeteam: gte hg's are harder, because you have to deal with the turbo...
