yes, I did this repair, it is the little resistor pack under the glove box...it's almost flush with the firewall, just above the carpet...has a connector going to it...it's kinda hard to describe where it is, so I hope that was adequate... IIRC, it was like $35 at the stealership!

hmmmm....if that head gasket is stock, w/ stock bolts and torque specs, I wouldn't expect it to last very long, but who knows...;) So, why did he sell the car, if it had all kinds of money into it...he must have liked the car to put that much work into it, right? Did he give you a reason...

Yes, sounds like it could be a BHG...check under your oil cap, what does it look like? Do you have to keep adding coolant every few days?

Um, no my digital camera sucks...but, it was the little bundle of wires almost directly under the AFM that caught fire...

umm, if it is a stick...i would try and push start it... it could start, and then you would know what to fix...or at least where to look... good luck!
