can someone explain molecular beam epitaxy to me? :biglaugh: Yes, the cold idle is in spec @1200 RPMs, in fact, it will go down to normal idle just before the car is at operating temp, then as the temp. rises to normal, so does the idle speed, until it gets to 1000, and then just stays...

i am kinda suspecting the PS idle up hose... it's kinda old, and that hissing noise seems to be coming from that area..., could i check it just by blovking off the port, or would I have to block the nipple on the idle up valve too?

I did block off the ISCV and the BPV, and the idle would just go down slightly, then up, and the idle does move slightly when the headlights are turned on, defogger, and AC, so that seems normal...

I know fuses blow for a reason, but when I got my car, it had several blown fuses...none of the interior lights or anything worked...replaced the fuses...has been fine ever since...maybe they were just old...? edit: come to think of it...my car's previous owner had a monstrous sound system...

okay, i went out and messed with it some more... With the setup in the pictures, my idle was normal...I also could noticeably hear the BPV sucking in air...right when I hooked the BPV back up, the idle shot straight to 1K... It isn't my throttle plate, I tried to push it farther closed...

i have a leak somewhere, or the ISCV is not working correctly?

okay, I capped off the ISC while idling (it seemed to be sucking really hard, lol) but the idle didn't really change at all...

umm, not yet...I am dealing with other things right now, like replacing the wires that burned, re-tapping threads in the thermo housing, and trying to figure out wihy my ABS went out on the way home (with MIL)...:(
