Welcome to the wonderful world of Turbo Supra ownership!! LMAO! As for what caused the problem...I think it is probably the CPS connector, that's what mine would do, but when i would wiggle the CPS wires/connector, it would start right up.

lol...before I had my Supra, I didn't even know what an oil change was... now I have done...BHG, brakes, water pump, all hoses, gaskets...fan clutch, huge wiring fixes, TONS of little fixes here and there (like the ones you described), and probably somewhere around 100 hours of labor restoring...

Check all of the throttle linkage as well.

lol...the amber lens on mine was falling off...I had to use epoxy to get it back on...:( Now I wish I hadn't.

Does your car idle smoothly? Because mine will sometimes idle perfectly smooth (like you can't tell it's running) during these times, I don't get the jerky acceleration. Then sometimes, it will idle a bit shakily, and will jerk when accelerating slowly.

Check your plugs and wires as well...

you have to get a deep 9/16 12-point socket. For some reason, the deep socket is thinner than the regular one.

Options 1 & 2 are definitely tempting...but it's probably best to hold out until the body work is done...you don't want any more rust...

My car does the exact same thing... Although, It really only does it about half of the time...which leads me to believe it's an electrical/wiring issue? When slowly accelerating, it feels almost like clutch chatter, and the car jerks forward repeatedly, not smoothly, but under 1/2+ throttle it...

The car should start without that plugged in... It connects to the cold start injector, which is located inderneath the upper intake manifold, just below the bolt that holds the intake manifold stay bar.

Sounds like you aren't getting injector pulse...I think you have to use a "noid light" or something...(sorry, i can't remember what it's called).
